Dang. That push to start setup is pure genius. What a sweet rig.
Puddin I use CLR to clean radiators. Built a stand to hold them so they drain into a 5 gallon bucket and drop a cheap fountain pump in the bucket and run the hose to the top and let in circulate did this in a pinch and was amazed how well it worked looks like I took to the radiator shop.

Love the ending with all the shots of you running back to the truck after placing your camera. Been there, done that many times and that portion of the clip always gets deleted. Thanks for including it this time.
You are a brave man indeed, tackling critter nests like that. The unusually large poops that you found suggest that the truck was not only home to rats, but snakes as well. Snakes produce surprisingly large poops for their size, and many feed on rodents. And as the folks on Fab Rats found out a little while back, some like making their homes in old trucks. Possibly worth using thicker gloves for this kind of task in future? We wouldn't want to lose one of our favourite TH-camrs to a snake bite!

That ole Binder is just too dang cool! I hope the motor lasts as thats one of the very cool factors of this truck. I can't wait to see it lowered especially with the whitewalls. You are basically building what I'm trying to do to my 60 F100. I love the no frills/no bs simple patina'd attitude this ole truck will have.

Hey,. Puddin, for cleaning that radiator, get yourself a bottle of CLR and mix a good amount of the jug into the radiator and top off with water and let it sit, CLR stands for calcium, lime, and rust. It's in a green bottle.
You always wanna make sure your rod is stiff when working with an IH.

I swear I thought there was no way you were going to actually drive that goodie but oldie truck without a lot more time, FIX and FAB work, but you proved me wrong. Hey puddin the next time you have to make a gasket for something tap on it with a ball peen hammer use the ball side for the bolt holes and see how you like the way it works it practically cuts the gasket out perfectly love the channel keep up the great work and God bless you and your family and happy holidays

I’m from the U.K and I’m not a lover of trucks to be fair as they weren’t so popular over here at the time this truck was made but I have to say that is one beautiful truck. I love the headlights, tail gate, the front end really and he’s going to be one lovely looking truck when finished
That’s a very interestingly option track a V-8 but with the three on the tree, I’d love to see this truck with the factory drivetrain but yeah modern brakes is definitely a must

LOVE this revival! She looks awesome as-is. Love that you're going with the original drive train until she can't no more. Everything you said after the one-hour mark about what you want to do with her is exactly what I would do. I'm sure that rear end is toast, and you damn sure need brakes. The simpler you keep it, the better she'll be. Because you are you, temptation will lure you to do things that are better than what she needs. I'm in love with this truck!! Being a farm boy who grew up on the red tractors, I fell in love with the IH trucks as an adult. I wish you could find them in WI as easily as you can in the south. Rust was no friend to them. Keep up the great work!!

That motor is money. It runs perfectly. Put some linseed oil on the body paint and rust and all over everything and your done with it. It is in such great condition because of the propane it ran on for years it burns clean no grit. She is still like a new engine.
Glad the clutch is good! I like the ignition with the toggle switch and push button! Just like the late model vehicles with the push button start! It is 1 cool shop truck! Glad to see your making it road worthy! Take care!

My hat is off to you sir, I have never had to deal with that much rat mess in my life, I hate those stinking things. I stored my square body outside for a couple months while building a new motor and trans setup, one had figured out how to get inside and make a nest and then died on the new carpet.

Also turn up idle bit more help starter turn over motor faster only need 750 to 850 RPM for Low idle and yes clutch plate disk same plus bearings too as Chevrolet for truck for 1960 to 1978 also put Chevrolet Brakes on that truck easy get parts for also service to ! Funny that you sang happy birthday on the video today since it’s my birthday, got a chuckle out of how that worked out considering the video was delayed a day.
To repair the gear linkages, weld a washer to the rod, cut the elbow off then weld a piece of correct sized rod in the elbow location, drill a hole for the split pin.
For the female's location, use a piece of correct size round brass inside the hole then weld up the hole, making sure that you don't melt the brass, clean flat surfaces.

Just use a ball ping hammer to make a gasket. Ball part for the holes. Flat spot is used to walk around the edges and you won’t need to cut the gasket out.
