Jordie, you just made my day😍. What an awesome video🙌, I love the music and your fantastic garage, a really cool workshop👌. That's the best bike build video I've ever seen💯, the bike looks so awesome. Fantastic work brother💪. Awesome shots of the test ride, you rode awesome as always and it looked like you had a lot of fun with the new bike🤩. Thanks for the video and your great content🙏, it always puts a smile on my face😀. Have a great day and an awesome weekend✌. Ride on🤙
Hey man! Thanks so much for your amazing comment, kind words and positive feedback! Speaking of smiles, reading this put a huge smile on my face. You of all people know how much effort these types of videos take and your feedback truly made it all worth the effort.. haha I hope this video helps others as I was unable to find any videos that showed this years bike in such detail prior to buying it.I spent a solid month searching and searching, too. I hope it helps people make an educated and informed decision based on how the bike looks and help them get a better idea of what type of componentry they'll build theirs with. Once again, thank you my friend! Ride on!!
@@zaldymtb-ride5114 That's going to be such a nice build! I can't wait to see it! I'm gonna subscribe to your channel in the hopes of seeing it when you're dune! And yeah, a medium would be perfect. I'm 6' tall and the large is perfect. I have a friend who is about 5'7" withe the Primal and loves it.
@@MichałSłotwiński-j7t thank you so much! And, it’s a size large and I’m 6’ tall (182cm). The frame fits perfect. Super playful yet extremely stable at speed, also. I even do trials type stuff on it for fun. I got a bunch of clips since this build on my Instagram of it if you wanna check more of it in action. jordie0bogart is my insta. I’ll follow back if you wanna follow me over there. 🤘
Hello Jordie! Greetings! By chance, the upper reinforcement of the tail, didn't you get a crooked soldier? I ask because I bought the pro version and the soldering left a lot to be desired :(
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear this! Fortunately both my Dartmoor Hornets have excellent welds! I would talk to your local Dartmoor dealer to see if you can get it exchanged. Dartmoor, in my experience, makes quality products and seem to stand behind their products. Once again, I'm sorry to hear this!
@@nicolasandresobandoaguilera No problem, my friend! Let me know if they wind up helping you out! Maybe send them a photo directly if your bike is second hand (used) and see if they'll give you a new one. I'm sure they'd stand behind their product even out of warranty due to poor welds. You can even have someone reweld it for you after carefully grinding away the old welds. Then you get to paint the bike any colour you choose! I custom painted my old Hornet, and loved it!
I was tempted to get it. But the added strength/weight wasn't really something I found to be needed. Even though I use for freeride and downhill regularly, I also use it for trail riding. The reason why I switched was I couldn't pass up the deal and the updated geometry is slightly better for what I do, which is slightly more freeride oriented. Namely the slacker headtube angle. But the wider rear axle is also easier than having to use 142mm. So far both regular Hornets have held up to all the abuse and have been amazing for regular trail riding, as well.
Thank you for the explanation @@jordie00bogart . btw, how tall are you and what size frame do you use? I'm 173cm, size M with old geometry (12 x 142). is it worth it if I sold my old frame and get new one with new geometry
Hornet pro like to crack. Mine started after 6 months, first it was some crackling sound near seatpost, i lube it and it was ok for like a month and again same shit, and again. After 10 months when i was cleaning my bike i just saw that frame is cracked under seatpost clamp over weld... So better not to ride on it on sattle.
Beautiful build. I just picked up one of these frames last week. Great vids keep em coming!

If this is your second frame, why not get the Dartmoor Hornet Pro version. just curious. I owned it too in red colour 🍻
