LIVE AID Just wouldn't work today. There's no truly awesome performers, personalities, musicians or artists that have been allowed onto the stage. There's only fake manufactured celebrities with sterile music they didn't even write in the first place. That's because even music itself has been turned into a business. Real musicians don't do it for profit. They do it because they face torment otherwise. Music is stale now. That's the way it will be unless something drastic happens.
Music was ALWAYS A BUSINESS . Jesus I cringe over ignorant stuff like that You do realise that before the likes of Bob Dylan and The Beatles, most pop stars of the day sang songs written by others . There use to be offices and buildings dedicated to songwriters who worked in them . That continued in the 1980s with Stock Aitken Waterman. Much of the 1980s music was utter rubbish . Brutal . That includes the material of groups more famous in either the 1960 or 1980s eg Macca, Rolling Stones etc Read up on people like Burch Bacharach and Elvis’s manager “Colonel Parker” . No matter the decade, record companies existed to make PROFIT . Bands needed when they were losing money
Bono made a total twat of himself that day , even during his own band’s performance. Yeah, watch the whole performance of that band aid song at the end . He was eying up everyone and making sure that he was in the front . Worse than a school boy
Jimmy Page was just mad cuz he couldn't play his guitar and Phil was rocking the drums that night thats what happens when you party too hard you get hungover or he was still high either one

I do hope it doesn't happen. She doesn't represent all of Scotland, only some of the people want independence, but most don't. I hope she doesn't get what she wants. 300 years of of United countries, would come to an end. She's being so selfish. I'm so sorry if that offends any Scottish people common but that's just my considered view.
Jesus I cringe over ignorant stuff like that
You do realise that before the likes of Bob Dylan and The Beatles, most pop stars of the day sang songs written by others . There use to be offices and buildings dedicated to songwriters who worked in them . That continued in the 1980s with Stock Aitken Waterman. Much of the 1980s music was utter rubbish . Brutal . That includes the material of groups more famous in either the 1960 or 1980s eg Macca, Rolling Stones etc
Read up on people like Burch Bacharach and Elvis’s manager “Colonel Parker” .
No matter the decade, record companies existed to make PROFIT . Bands needed when they were losing money
Robert plant fail years later in the freddie Mercury tribute siging Innuendo.
Bono grabbing the mic from McCartney tlso he had it for himself.....he is such a git!
Bono made a total twat of himself that day , even during his own band’s performance. Yeah, watch the whole performance of that band aid song at the end . He was eying up everyone and making sure that he was in the front . Worse than a school boy
what's the song after Bob said "let's go home"?
What is that song at the end?
12:23 now that's some sexy swearing
classy guy
Jimmy Page was just mad cuz he couldn't play his guitar and Phil was rocking the drums that night thats what happens when you party too hard you get hungover or he was still high either one
Some of the comments people are making, who gives a crap, this was not a tribute concert for your Freddie, (some people act like he was god..... not)or a contest who performed what, or who or better, this is everyone coming together to raise money for all those starving to death right this very minute, do you not give a shit what this was really all about.
It's about Queen
Yes it is about Freddie and Queen. We love Freddie to no end💖💖💖

lol nice one.
Nona Hendryx I think
I miss the compassion this world and especially here.
What the feck has gone wrong in his poxy uk? No compassion here at all any more it's all self self bloody self.
If I could bugger off some country that has more compassion. Even though I live in Scotland it's getting like there here to.
Totally we once had 'The Young Ones, spitting Image and other sorts of comedy to show young people you CAN change things!
Benjamin Joseph Kidd-Bentley exactly and now Scotland's minister wants to break up the United Kingdom?
I am American, and I live in England, and I love Scotland, and love Scottish people, I've had so many wonderful holidays and vacations in Scotland and it would break my heart if she broke up the United Kingdom.
I am now a naturalized British citizen having lived here since 1987, with a British wife, and British kids, and see myself as a British person. I pray this great country stays together.
Warlords have no heart; that's why they're warlords.
Ireland needs a Live Aid right now Bob.....I wish Bono would speak up right now for Ireland as much as he speaks for Africa....the goverment are destroying and wiping out families as i write this.
Bob is a West Brit and always was . No thanks . I know what you said was 11 years ago and I’d have to ask , what the fuck are you talking about out ? The economy had started to improve by 2013 and 2014 . Bono was in the news back then for the bands taxes being based in the Netherlands . Bono was also like Bob , always talking down about Ireland and trying to be American
Why is part 5 blocked??
+Jeasper Krøll crap zepplin non performance was utter shite. They were a bunch of cunts and decided to blame Phil Collins for their shitty performance, arseholes.
+Rebeccah Mania
Led Zep's performance has hardly anything to do with Warner blocking Part 5...
Jesus LED Zeppelin wasn’t good 😭 and Paul was amazing after that
Feckin Thatcher.
I’m absolutely no defender of Phil Collins but It was simply unfair of led zeppelin blame him for that awful performance at live aid they were both out of it and sub standard
And he initially invited robert plant to join..no led zep reunion were planned.. thats how he got rewarded ..ungrateful bastards .
Africa is starving because of the West
My poor and the most loved and adored Freddie holding that fucked up beatle! Did he say a word of condolence on Freddie's passing? Shit! FREDDIE MERCURY is the only genius there!
ADAM ANT
@buckfastbee YES
live aid 2015... please don't have the following.... justin beiber, maroon 5, jason derulo, nickelturd, linkin park, taylor swift, and any other current top 40 bullshit. stick to the good stuff. get the smiths to reunite!
oh and let's not forget Elton John, Duran2 AND Madonna. too bad MJ and Prince couldn't or wouldn't join in. did MJ get his fire accident just b'fore the event?? Still... like Tina would say, this event was...SIMPLY THE BEST.
Proofs that zeppelin isn t the best band ever... Even if the drummer was off, they could have adjusted to that.
The English crying about being rude etc to cover their ineptitude
page was fucked up - as usual
that's because none of the money raised got where it needed to go.
