My husband gave me the Soprano yesterday for my birthday. So excited to learn how to use this machine! I have sewn using the same singer for 40 years. I am just in awe. That tissue demonstration was jaw dropping.
Hi there, the F04 FC Break message is indicating an issue with the connection of your foot controller. It could mean that you need a new foot controller, or it could mean that the pin jack for the foot controller needs replaced. Your local retailer will most likely be able to help you fix this problem
@@ThomasSewingCenter thanks. I discovered that I had the wrong foot controller duh!! Some how in our move I put another machine’s pedal in that case. Alls well now.
Thank you for the great information. I am new to sewing since wife is going to be my new employer for making baby clothes.😂. We purchased a Triumph and an Evolution as backup. Now we just need a great sewing machine that works great with knits ( 4 way stretch). Any recommendations? Thank you.
If you have the Triumph and Evolution, you will want to use that to work with fabrics like knits. The feeding system in the serger is superior to a sewing machine, and is made for working with stretchy fabrics.
I really like the Baby lock Soprano, new 5 months ago. Have to point out the computer settings are very confusing and the foot pedal is terrible. The foot pedal slides all over ( wood floor) and the power cord comes out near the front of it so is always in the way. Love how the machine sews nice stitches! I have broken many needles so it doesn’t have a feature to protect against hitting a hard surface ( mask nose metallic strip).
Someone told me that a piece of shelf liner put under the foot pedal will keep the pedal in place. As soon as my Soprano arrives I am going to give it a try.

Thank you for the best Baby Lock Soprano demonstration I’ve seen. This makes all the difference for me. Yay.
I just purchased this today and am picking it up tomorrow. Thanks for this great tutorial. I can't wait to unbox it and start sewing!!!
Wow, the tissue to the layered denim sealed the deal for me!
Zooming in on all the details is much better.
Thank you
I know the baby lock verve can use a serger foot, but can the soprano also use that same foot?
I am getting an error code FO4 FC Break???Do you know what that means

Best review of the Soprano
Definitely can’t see your stitches
This machine is an overpriced hunk of junk I hate it
What problems have you had?
Why? No point just bitching about it….given some reasons.
