Broad strokes, the infestation is like the Halo flood but they think you (the player) are their long lost friend. Find out more when you play the game.
On-Lyne eventually get consumed and mutated by a hivemind known as the Techrot , but they retain some semblance of personality. The 'join us , embrace us' is definitely sus.
Sorry that is incorrect - since generative AI was not yet invented in 1999 some record executive who did not feel like paying the band decided to use a Resident Evil meats Dead Space type bioweapon to create clones of the band
A year ago the acapella group Voiceplay did "Sleeping In The Cold Below" from Warframe. The company was so impressed they asked Voiceplay to do a cover of "Party of Your Lifetime" for the release of the Warframe 1999 video game. They both released Dec 13th. Both are fantastic. Voiceplay also did the "Halo" theme from the Halo video game and "Dragonborn Comes" from Dragonborn Comes Skyrim video game. Voiceplay has done just about any genre you can think of and probably some you haven't. They are known as both The Theater Kids of Acapella and The Kings of Halloween because of their love of dressing up and performing.
List of singers was in description. I can only say that 2 singers for "On-Lyme" are 2 main composers for Warframe, Keith Power and Matthew Chalmers. I am less knowledgeable about others.
Party of your Lifetime. Drawing obvious inspirations from late 90's Boybands, with tongue-in-cheek references to actual in-game lore and an overall banger track. While i will never call any song my absolute favourite, out of all the songs i know, this one's pretty high up there.
A recurring theme in the last few stories in warframe is "the end is the beginning/we end as we began" and the 1999 stuff starts in the new year eve 1999->2000 and emulates a lot of the y2k scare, so the "it's just the beginning!!" also becomes really ironic after what you go through in the quests and the time travel/loop involved
On-Lyne's story didn't make it to the recent 1999 update as originally planned, but their music did and are there for lore and world building. The devs thought they need more polishing and are not ready yet. This means On-Lyne will get their own update centered around them instead of being the side content of the 1999 update. It also helped making 1999 better and less overwhelming content-wise.
When this song dropped people lost mind. Its so absolutely different from anything that we have. Bc beside typical game soundtracks we had working song We all lift together, space see shanty Sleeping in the cold below, some operas. And this... XD
The infestation is basically a zombie hive mind, one can turn into many and their all linked it's rare but you CAN see separate instances of infestation where there can be multiple "queens" in the hive
The music is made by warframe in house composer and band, I think they’ve made it all, which is wild when you realise the broad spectrum of music they’ve produced. And while I won’t say much for fear of spoilers, when they say ‘the beat is strong’ and those three distinct beats play, like three hard taps? I get chills.
there's a lot to say about Warframe, but one thing I'll always praise about it is the music choice. For every update, there's so much thought and work put into both the big central tracks (I hope you'll check out the Duviri musc at some point, it's a delight) as well as the "minor" bgm tracks and such. And they only got better at it over time.

"Now that you're invested, we're turning up the heat"
@Daring-s1i I like how they make 'invested' sound like 'infested'
To be honest, I prefer The Great Despair.

The lore about on-lyne is the place where 1999 takes place one of their own personal on-lyne so they use the infestation to make their own

I want a full On-Lyne record. I'm not even joking.
