That resemblance to the texture of 3D printing is likely from a 3D printed master used to produce the working molds for injection molded production. Or it's an artifact of CNC machining of the molds made directly without any master.
right they didnt have to polish the mold the thing would cost alot more lol I used to polish Diaphragm molds it takes days to remove all the tool marks
A note on Vinnic batteries, they've been around for about fifty years that I know of. They used to be a halfway decent, middle of the road product back then - probably a product of Hong Kong in the days of UK governance.
That looks like polystyrene glue, a needle of acetone and a razor; You might get it apart without destroying it. Then you can add a audio jack in for amplified fun.
I really like the aesthetics of the design. It looks so old comics, ray gun, Buck Rogers kinda vibe. I would try to hijack the ROM sample to have "authentic" ray gun/blaster noises. I would try sawing it open along the seams at the plane of symmetry.
Non-electronic: MEG STINK-BLASTER, a vortex-ring launcher with stench pods. I think it was from late-90s. Target a nose at 10ft distance. (Add a loudspeaker horn-driver, to create a machine-gun?)
Polyurethane glue weld probably. So heating it probably will not be effective enough, or focused enough right at the thin space, and difficult to penetrate the depth of the glue weld without melting the gun body itself. Ya might be able to use acetone or tolelene in tiny drips along the seam, but it would take forever, and it would just reset as the solvent evaporated. It would also start melting the parts ya didnt want goopy. Ive before either used a thin xacto blade or a really thin "dremel" ceramic cutting disc to cut along seams like that, but its tedious and i only had to go shorter distance of material, not all the way around an entire product assembly glue joint.
dremel (cut off wheel) it at the seam,,,,then super glue it back together? or mount the unit to the inside of your mailbox with a mercury trigger switch...everytime the mail person opens the mailbox door, it should fart at them from within the box. It would make their day.
Yeah we already know what's in it - just a COB with a few discreet components. Probably best to leave it intact because fart jokes are never not funny. Nice design though - I would have loved that when I was seven years old.
Oh, Fran, you're far more humane than Clive - He'd have bashed it on the head, eviscerated it and reverse engineered it in a trice. I'll bet even now he'll be scouring the shelves and display cabinets of IoM to find one. I agree with you though, It would be a great pity to destroy the toy - It even had me in giggles, halfway around the world from you!
I play keyboards in a death metal band and one of my jobs is to play sound effects (thunder, explosions etc.) on an Akai sample player. I have a fart sound stored under one of the pads and it gets the guys laughing every time I use it at a rehearsal. I always mute it before we go on a gig, just in case so I can't accidentally trigger it, a huge ripping fart from the PA might not fit the dark mood of the gig.
Frans new toy has a wind problem. It would be a shame to destroy it only to find a pcb with a chip on it that has the information removed. The answer is blowing in the wind !
Don't smash it! Instead, saw/file the seams open. Improve the sound with a better speaker or external audio jack. Then toot and giggle away! 😂 We are very mature.

About to say the same thing. looks like alumin[ium/um] 3d printed/etched mould.

that crossed out bin doesnt mean 'do not recycle' but dont chuck in household rubbish
as dave would say, don't turn it upside down or all the farts will fall out.

I really like the trigger design and detail on this.

Fran I Absolutely love your outro music...
So cool and jazzy..❤
Within a minute I was waiting for the spudger to come out and pry that open.. I am a bit disappointed. Spudg'er open!
No, no, no.... I agree with Fran, it's much too good to destroy.
It would require the Vise of Knowledge or the Hammer of Truth to open this, a spudger is of no use here.
@@whitesapphire5865 I don't think it'd be destroyed. It's just caught tightly. Remember: there's a lot of pressure in there.
One moment, please.....

Might make a nice base for some "improvement with paint" - some chrome effect, highlight the gauge...
I have (2) of the originals. I always try to get a pair. One to open and one to store away. Maybe time to sell them 🙂
A field test is mandatory. Off to the Franklin Institute!
Capital idea! 🙂
I really enjoyed the whole outro tune with the nicely timed fart sounds. Well done Fran
You should have gotten the newer one, that uses vape fluid to make smoke rings.
Do you remember the laughing boxes with the tiny record inside?
God help me!…..I actually _live_ for these occasional dissections! Love’em. And, yes, Bunky….. I’m still looking for that elusive girlfriend.

Photo probably came from an engineering sample or an earlier revision.
You need a 'vice of knowledge'. A little squeeze on the seams, might give up it's inner secrets.
First world requirments, sometimes they just cross that line and just keep going with out a care in (or of) the world
Split open that piece of junk and show us the electronics or what was the point?!
How is it possible to read "Made by Moose" and not say:
A moose once bit my sister!
You make me sad.
møøse
One of those hot wire knives along the seam?
kind of a variation on the theme, of the ol' "fart machine" from back in the day, still funny!
Get the one with the farther rings.
... but it begs to be circuit bent!
Wouldn`t get you access from the perforated front if you remove it?
dremel (cut off wheel) it at the seam,,,,then super glue it back together? or mount the unit to the inside of your mailbox with a mercury trigger switch...everytime the mail person opens the mailbox door, it should fart at them from within the box. It would make their day.
Sooner or later you're going to have to take it apart with a hot blade or hot wire to put a smoke generator into it 🙂
I find it odd that the sounds trigger when the trigger is released instead of when the trigger becomes pressed

Vinnic seems to be a German company

I feel BIg Clive would probably also be interested ina tear down of this.
Haha. Girls dont do fart jokes!!
Do they?😅
Oh Fran watching you go full fart young lady was pretty funny...
I'm really hoping there's a screw way down inside somewhere. That never gets old.
FRAN SMASH !!! lol I was doing a Hulk impression :)
*Eggs. Omelettes.*
a fart-o-meter? I want one.
This will be a smash video.
It'll just be a blob chip. Not worth smashing. Use it to answer the shitty comments.
I think it's better for the secrets of the fart gun to remain a mystery than to risk destroying it. It's just too much fun!
haha, i'd love one of those 😜 years ago i made my tandy 50 in 1 kit make similar farty sounds 😈
Such a simple yet completely awesome toy. Farts are funny 🤣😂🤣😂

Why am i laughing and find you so entertaining. Sounds like a funny ending for anything. 😎✌🏼
I have one! Got it for my birthday 🎂 as a grown man!!! Geeky me...I 😘 be your videos Fran! You are intelligent and beautiful ❤️ too. Très belle
Fran, I'm so glad you decided to publish this one! Thank you. 🍑💨
content I guess.
Another quick thought..... It you ever need to re-cap it, be sure to use the same value capacitors - to much micro-Faarat capacity can be lethal!💥💨 🤢🤦
I don't like The Minions, and the sound device made to look like a dump showerhead mixed with a fake alien ray gun is...annoying af.
DON'T SMASH IT!😂
You're having more fun than a body has a right to!

I have just spent 10 minutes and 33 seconds listening to artificial farts.
A day to remember.
Ayup.
