    That’s a one of the best TH-cam jazz guitar lessons I’ve seen. I’ll be sure to learn that song later today. Many thanks 👍

    I am just entering my jazz journey after being mainly a rock/country guitarist for nearly 23 years. I want to thank you a ton for these lessons! You are extremely thorough and absolutely knock these songs out! I was super confused with jazz for a while. I still have my moments, but these lessons I have watched with you have been eye-openers. Thanks a ton for all of the information and teachings Andy!!!

    I understand harmony. Everything clear and very well explain. But the rhythm... Oh the rhythm... 😂 I can't play It. Thank you.

    I really like and appreciate the explanation of this song. A very clear and thorough starting point. But just wondering if you have heard Joe Robinsons fingerstyle version. How did he get from here to what he does on that old Gibson!!!???

      I just checked that out and it was phenomenal, thanks for recommending. I'd imagine he has a background in travis picking and a love of Chet Atkins as well as swing classics.

    From a theory standpoint why does E min 7b5 and Bb maj work?

    • @jazzguitarwithandy
      @jazzguitarwithandy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I talk about this in terms of using over the G minor. In terms of Em7b5 and Bbmaj, they share some notes.Em7b5 = E,G, Bb, D and Bbmaj = Bb, D,F. The shared notes of Bb and D. Over Gm these work well. Em7b5= the same notes as a gm6. Bbmaj is the relative major of Gminor.
