Till this everything is clear ...but 2 doubts are there ...1.boiling takes place in open system ...is it? Or it could be take place in close system also ?...the main factor is saturated vapour pressure = to the atmospheric pressure ....can't it be achieved in close system by elevation of temperature?
2. Is keeping a lid on a vessel a close system ? And does the lid count for an extra pressure on the v.p inside the vessel?
