I watch so many videos on all kinds of stuff but when I just want to relax and honestly enjoy one, I always find myself going back to one of yours. Just a great bunch of guys loving what they do and doing it well, no BS involved! Keep up the great work and videos! Patiently waiting for another Axiom router video, lol!

Beautiful oak lumber today. Fairly fresh log it’s nice sawing that stuff The other day I cut an invasive tree it was called a tree of heaven. Beautiful wood. Almost like elm Took me some research to figure out what it was it got put in our poplar pile cuz the bark was kind of similar
May have been a short shit but it gave you some pretty nice looking boards, so whatever the end use they should work just fine. As usual it is nice to see you and Eddie doing what you like to do amid the man glitter or summer snow as I like to call it and to hear the band sing.

Can you elaborate on the yellow dial that moves with the log sled? I would assume it's use is to determine what thickness you are sawing but how do you read it? Is it the total inches from the back of the sled to the blade. If you are making a 2x4 is it as simple as advancing from a given number to 2 numbers below? Do you have a switch or lock that is preset that allows you to so quickly to advance the log toward the blade for repeated cuts? If you have a video where this topic is covered, I would appreciate the video #. Thanks!
All carriages have presets so each pc cut can be the exact same thickness some have more presets than others or u can just like you said advance it 2 inches But very hard to do that twice the exact same. One could be a 16th or 1/8. Less or more than the piece before
The dial tells you what you have left after your board and sawkerf come off. It really is only a good guess until you have a flat back on the cant. Yes, he has presets (called setworks) but he adjusts them for the thickness he wants. Some are set to the common thickness (1”, 5/4, 2” ) and stay that way but a couple he sets for the order (like 1/2 inch)
That was some excellent Oak Lumber from that log - some clear purdy :) when a man cannot measure right to cut a log, maybe he should not be using sharp tools LOL just sayin
Grandpa wouldn't put up with that. If logs came short he made the cutters take them away and he wasn't always so nice about it. He'd rather have logs an inch or two too long. That being said, this was a pretty nice log some pretty nice lumber if only it was the proper length. Yup Grandpa was agreeing that " take the worst, saw that first" every time.
Mister Mark out of a log how much is wasted and guess what I mean is after you sale everything you can how much is just junk I was thinking about maybe 15 percent just curious love your videos be safe and have a great day Sam
Mister Mark what is the advantage of a skip tooth saw I was wondering because I saw a nother channel and he said that he likes it and I wanted to know the difference thanks and have a great day Sam love your videos
I'm sure you have cause to complain but I had to laugh because my old boss in a metal work shop checked somethings I was cutting and was unhappy till I showed him his tape was wrong, with a steel ruler.
@ 1:45 are the Gnome Bros. on strike ? they seem to have let their area get awful trashy. Not like then to neglect the clean up for safety's sake in their personal space as it is
Hi Mark. " They" didn't measure right? Or. "They" didn't care? Or. Both? I hope the customer didn't mind thier length? Well. Beautiful oak boards Thanks Mark. Say Hi to Ed. 🥰😊😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Loving that beautiful straight oak grain. Thanks for sharing, Mark, Eddie, ZZ, and everyone else!!
Nothing like the grain of an Oak... except for Cherry... and Hickory... and Walnut... and Maple... and......................LOL
American elm, eastern cedar.
I like it Ron lol!

SWEET log but a little short. Happy Weekend and God Bless!
I can’t believe that my birthday log was short. But at 80 I’m a little shorter myself.😊. Nice cabinet wood in there.

amazingly got some nice clear boards out of that log. Shorts are fine , booms are good , and any log that gets on your deck is a victim!
thanks David.
That’s some nice looking lumber right there
it was very nice but short.
I like how the carriage has ‘Dang’ printed on it, LOL 😂

Hi Mark & Eddies & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Mark & Eddies & Friends Randy

Mark, curious how you and Eddie crossed paths and started a sawmill and sawing wood?
we want to make a video about that.

"Get off my lawn!"
Somebody needs to teach them youngins how to read a tape measure and tell em an 8' log should be atleast 8'3" in length if not 8'4"!
yes they do Gary.
We always used to cut em 8’6”,10’6” 12’6” etc
Nice sawing beautiful wood ty guys 👴🏆🏆🙏🏿🙏🏿

thank you.
A short little log is appropriate for a short little video. ;-)
Pretty colour, pretty grain.
yes nice oak.
GOD BLESS YOU
HAPPY WEEKEND 🙏
thanks.
Thats goergeus Mark, thnx for the video bro
We would add 6 inches to sometimes even a foot if the log was crooked out in the woods.

Nice boards, Mark. Was the log pinching behind the blade at the beginning?

Thanks for the video great job who ever cuts the log they should know what the lengths are and add 4 to 6 inches
yes they should lol.

@@blnfuse No, not all firewood :) Mark said the tree cutters cut the wrong length he needed, it still mad good lumber just short. Is my take.. :)
I agree with you 👍

your welcome.

no closed caption / subtitles, darn it, but still a lovely watch, thank you
Any thought of restarting the kiln project?
yes but not here.
18-20" black walnut blown over by microburst. Will giveaway free. Too nice for firewood. S.e. ky.
Pine Mountain Settlement School has a mini sawmill and they want the walnut.
Mark how long is it from time a log is cutt till it’s sawn at the mill just curious
Usually within 3 weeks.
Mark, did you have to adjust the laser because of the last wind storm? You mentioned it in a previous video
yes it's all good now.

yes Grandpa is right , Hi grandpa!
Good video 🙏👍🏻
That's a metric 8 ft
I like it lol!
Did that log come from a regular supplier? Too bad the children can't measure.
They say they can read a tree but NOT A tape measure!
The 'Bearded Munchkins' are still watching.... (look to left side of screen) ......

Hi Mark. On your last video, you were wearing an Andruw's Lumber T-Shirt. I was Green with Envy !!Where can I buy them ??
go over to his channel.
Mark, buy the Loggers a tape measure and show them how to use it...🙄🙄😉😉Good thing is you faced stupidity and got some good lumber out if it 😎😎👌👌
If you did not like the length, you did not have to buy it. Nice boards! Good to see you.
thanks Alan , we didn't buy it.
Very nice grain
thanks Ronald.
How many inches is 5 quarter or 4 quarter?
4 quarter is 1-1/8 iinch
5/4 = (5 times 1/4”) or 1.25”. After planning, it usually ends up around 1”
Why do you cut those logs.
because we can lol.
Short logs short videos 😅
