Thanks for the video. Bought the game yesterday and i am hooked! I'm on year 16 and already thinking of starting a new game :D I made so many mistakes in the beginning, this video helped with the basics.
You don't have to put down your food production buildings so close to the resources as you can just move the affected gathering area to where you want it to be.
when you reload the map seed it will change the quantities of the resources, just to be aware of this. There should be a pause button at the start. You can use escape though.
I don't think the first tip is true (about finding a spot for your town center quickly, or else). According to what I've read, even though the people on the map are animated and walking around, time is actually not passing at all and won't start until you click "confirm" on your town center build location.
This might have been something they changed since making the video. Remember this game is still in Early Access and I'm sure there will be many more changes to come.

Just started playing. Are we not able to move and relocate buildings. I see you can rotate but what about moving a whole building? Or do you tear it down and rebuild?
Building your towncenter on top of trees doesn't matter. Your villagers need to cut down 4 or 5 trees anyways to get enough wood to build it. It doesn't matter if those trees are on the building site or next to it.
I tested it, you are correct. They are missing the 18 wood needed to complete the town center even playing the easiest level. So placing on a few trees would be fine. Cheers!
@@OneLastMidnight Actually something I do as well, the town center isn't really needed really early on. Think it's a requirement for the stockpile. But before that, it's not needed. So if you prioritize things like your food industry and build those first, those will start working that little bit earlier.
this game is an absolute waste of time. its like watching a movie. u have to spend a set amount of time to progress ahead. game intentionally stops ur progress to create an illusion ur doing somthing wrong. u'll stop receiving population at tier 3. and proceed ahead only if u keep the game running for atleast a week or 2 doing nothing just fixing stuffs which are intentionally made to be fixed manually. not worth 29.

True, but by moving the gathering area far away will effect the travel time for the workers.

Some you get an icon to move, but others have to be rebuilt.

F key, G is desirability, and I is water
If you set every build on priority then nothing is!
Oh it they still are, and it will go in the order of the priority selection.
