Here's the thing, Tylers method for learning games is most likely not going to work here. His method is ramming his head against the wall and learning all on his own. Its what he did for jungle challenge, went off camera for 1000 games and figured it out. As much as I love Classic WoW, it does a terrible job telling/teaching the player anything. Threat, aggro/leash ranges, none of that is explained anywhere in the actual game. He's going to have to swallow his pride and either watch a guide or take someone's advice. Majority of all classic wow "skill" is just 20 years of highly documented information. The reason the game was so hard in 2004 is because majority of players had no idea how the game actually worked, the devs barely knew.
Im just struggling to understand what isnt working here He's gotten past way more people than expected. People thought he couldnt hit 10. So much goalpost moving
If his lQ was at least half what he thinks it is, he would have figured out how relatively obscure mechanics work now. He simply doesn’t put thought or effort into figuring them out. He never bothered to even consider using any abilities other than heroic strike during early leveling.
You literally said he wasn’t putting in effort to learn game mechanics like threat. He never tried to understand threat but I don’t think he knew he needed to understand threat in the first place. Isn’t that what triggered all this?

But Tyler still puts in effort, he took a day to get coached in Keybinds, he took a day to learn stance swapping, and he wven took a day to learn dual wielding but he went back because he didnt like how it felt. In Tylers defense, when you see him say stuff like "I'm not using Defensive stance" or whatever comment you'd want to point out as him being bullheaded and "refusing to learn important information". YOU know that information is important. For him, he's dealing with people saying tips literally 24/7 in chat. YOU know which tips are accurate and which to ignore - he doesn't. A lot of the tips and info he receives is genuinely useless or worse. He doesn't have the foreknowledge of what advice is good or not, so when you see him refuse to take actually good advice, it's usually because he's rejecting all that bad advice, actually. Again, how can he know until he knows. And whenever he does act bullheaded about an issue or refuses to do a thing, he eventually does it if it was useful. It takes time to do everything, he's locking in.

why would you do that for learning a game for the first time ?? or did you forget that this is meant to be a fun hobby ? People want to experience things naturally.
A fun hobby sure but playing hardcore isn't really a casual thing when other peoples characters and hours spent leveling is all gone out the window because you didn't learn the fight. Tyler has mentioned wanting to be main raid tank before but there is no way they are going to let him go into Molten Core without watching a basic video on it. All those peoples characters could potentially be lost because he didn't take the time to watch a couple minute video specifically about mechanics of a certain fight. You are still going to be going in and experiencing the fight yourself and it never really goes the way the videos go so its definitely still a new experience regardless of watching a video or not but it gives you an idea of how the mechanics work.
Hc wow isn't a casual hobby you dunce. You don't take the few minutes of time to research a basic ass guide and you get knowledge checked and have to repeat the past 200 hours of easy content you've already cleared.

It wasn't explained to him fully like it should be to a player who has never once seen that mechanic.
@@Halikarz31its clear for someone who understand threat, Tyler didn't, he knew something called threat existed, but not how it works, and in fact it's hard to visualize with such a bare bones explanation without seeing an addon working

Oh thats what it was 😂😂 i thought he got some tattoos i wasnt aware of lol
Chill boomer, dudes doing fine he made it to 58 last night
He vod reviews and got coached by Tarzaned
Let him cook, give him 800 more hours first
Im just struggling to understand what isnt working here
He's gotten past way more people than expected.
Isn’t that what triggered all this?
not if you're the only tank in a dungeon group in (hc) wow, then ofcourse you should know, but T1 just keeps saying the game is too easy to take seriously lol. people have told him, in any case
@@Peter_Griffaaa I don’t know maybe some other streamers should start taking notes on Tyler. Homie has only died once compared to people who have played the game for years.
@@Peter_Griffaaa Theres nothing in the game that tells you about threat other than "this ability generates more threat" tooltips. Nobody and nothing explains what it is lmao
@@Peter_Griffaaa I mean the game is easy tho, outside of pvp why are we lying saying it isnt easy? The problem is that Tyler doesnt like watching guides or youtube videos, he likes to learn by playing the game and reviewing his mistakes, this is how people naturaly progress to begin with but the truth is this just simply isnt doable in hardcore as a mistake you make that will teach you something will cause your death or the death of others. But Tyler still puts in effort, he took a day to get coached in Keybinds, he took a day to learn stance swapping, and he wven took a day to learn dual wielding but he went back because he didnt like how it felt. He puts in effort to learn but what he really dislikes doing is looking at guides because he thinks its cheating, and in a way he isnt wrong, guides take away from natural progression.
@@spcsandbag6517 yeah it's easy enough, and that concept about learning the game makes sense, but there are loads of games that don't explain in-game mechanics and require add-ons or a website explaining stats (which is totally stupid tbf). Secondly, anyone in hc wow going with that approach would be scrutinized if he/she weren't a big streamer. His progress is impressive tho, and he is putting in effort, but it could be focused a lot better and it's nothing short of a miracle he hasn't died in the dungeons

Tyler1 dong fucking good for his first time playing (and 2nd char only) i havent watched wow in years , but watchibg tyler 1 and WoW is something else
It was when you said he wasn't putting effort into learning the threat mechanic.
I distinctly remember him telling Mizkif that Tyler1 keyboard turns and stuff. He kinda disparaged Tyler1 in pursuit of making the ADHD-addled Miz feel better lol
love this drama that they said they would cut out. they will milk all the content!
Imagine playing tank in hardcore mode, claim you are tryharding and not even have a threat meter when everyone is begging you to get one.
I don't think people understand how hard it is to learn WoW, let alone reach 60 on hardcore first try, yeah he got lucky tons of times and got saved by others, but still is crazy.
The backtracking here should be studied. Absolutely shits on him for 3 minutes then goes idk what he could have seen where i was saying hes not putting in effort.
Most streamers don’t put in effort, asking their chat how to do something isn’t effort. I ain’t ever seen a streamer open up a discord or a website with all the information they could ever need to ask and read and then apply what they have read. All I see is “ Oh chat is this dangerous?” “ can I do this chat?”
i took what he said as like he hasn't played enough to know it yet not that he wasn't trying

It’s been good content and good times. I agree hope he doesn’t die right away at 60. All I have to say is well done T1
What a windbag non-apology
You just hear what you want to, don’t you? That was more of an apology than he deserved, far from a non-apology.
Don't apologize, he signed up for it just like everyone else, you die you go again...imo Tyler needs more practice, considering he is new and all he is doing fine..RnG happens sometimes it doesn't go the way it's planned to be.

Tyler1 is mistaken though.

it's all good, ty both for the content
So Tyler just needs to know about Warr builds. I've played pretty much every warrior build including:
2h Arms dps
Fury DW DPS
Fury DW prot
Deep prot
2h Fury
DW Arms
Arms pvp 2H
Fury pvp DW
Fury pvp 2h
Fury DPS DW is legitimately the most fun warrior build for warriors. I think if T1 just played with the build and realized that you're essentially just chunking damage constantly, spamming CDs, mashing HS/cleave with bloodthirst and whirlwinds, yea he'd enjoy fury a lot. He's just new to the game so he needs to experience and play with the build first before realizing it blows Arms 2h playstyle out of the water

Obviously, he is putting effort into learning to not die in hard-core, it's just a lack of effort to research a key tanking concept.
It takes time to do everything, he's locking in.
which is weird i hasn't done that at all considering he's getting other players killed left and right and risking to die himself with that. It's not hard he says but he REFUSES to learn that little one thing that is expected of his class and his character lmao
@@SystemUnderSiegeHe should stop asking his chat and just ask the guild or just ask Soda.
@@SystemUnderSiege there is no defense. no shit wow lifers are spamming his chat. tyler is a smart guy and knows it. The problem arises in the situation he is in. Smart people think 'im tanking now what do i need to know and who do i ask?' this guy has access to some of the best players in the game and isnt asking the right questions. dude clearly was upset cause he hates the idea that people just burned all their time into a character to die in the 50s and reacted crazily to the internets version of feedback. soda said the same critiques of his gameplay that tyler has done countless times to others in league. he even realizes he over reacted but is also deflecting when he goes 'could i be doing more? everyone could be doing more. but im currently doing the most'. no shit, you dont know anything about the game and your schtick is ego and im better than everyone at everything i do. which is why you should be asking questions prior to doing something you dont understand or have never done. with that its funny to see under the hood as to what truly upsets him and its being told he doesnt try hard enough. is he trying hard? objectivly yes. is he trying the most out of the current run? objectivly top 1%. but when he hits 60, and he will, no one is going to think he understands how to play the game beyond a casual level.

Could be avoided by just watching a 3 minute video on the boss fight lol.
why would you do that for learning a game for the first time ?? or did you forget that this is meant to be a fun hobby ?
