I'm a real farmer in Iowa and love playing FS. It's going to be fun watching someone that hasn't played the other games and doesn't know much about farming.
Thanks for not allowing pride to prevent you from running through the tutorial. I've watched quite a few people play the game, and a number of them bash the game all because they don't know what they are doing. I've always enjoyed your approach to the games you share with your viewers!
This game flew under my radar for years - warning once you play you'll be addicted. Game is for sure a massive source of peace and enjoyment. Insane I'd never played this game prior to 6 months ago.
I used to jokingly mock my father for playing farming simulator as I couldn't think of anything more dull, then I checked out farming sim 22 to see what the fuss was about and got absolutely hooked. Cant wait for this one next week.
I play farming sim with my dad every week, i highly recommend you buy a server and play with yours. It's so much fun driving around for perfect plots of land, and deciding how you should spend your money in ways that can benefit both of your farms. I bought a combine and my dad bought a mill, so I let him use the combine and in return I can use his mill. I built a dirt bike track for us to use while we wait for the fields to finish. We don't really have a lot of activities we both enjoy doing, so this is an incredible way for us to bond. He loves it, always wished he could work on a farm, and it's a surprisingly lifelike game.
As someone who has an embarrassing number of hours in FS22, you're going to love this game. There is no right or wrong way, and you can play it however you'd like. Half the fun is trying (and failing) at new parts of the game. Cannot wait to see where this series goes
Tge best first advice I can give you us set time to real-time in the settings. The 5 in the upper left means time is going at 5x real-time. By going 1x, it gives you more time than you will ever need to finish tasks on YOUR fields every month. The default settings is 1 day per month, at midnight it goes to September. The next midnight. October, etc. You don't want to run out of daylight, primarily for your recording purposes. You can always advance time when nothing to do by using the sleep trigger at the house.
As a farmer in real life I have to admit it was pretty funny watching you learn. Most field in real life you do have to turn around in your headlands and leave the tire tracks or you could do your up down rows first and when your done with the field come back and do your headlands where you turn around to get rid of track. You have a lot of learning ahead about the business good luck
@ that’s a fair point when it’s wet during corn harvest we don’t run carts turning on headlands just straight on the road if possible. But every farm is different as well
@@jimweil8879 headlands in simple terms is just the outline of the field so a lot of farmers will harvest/plant/work all the way around their fields twice in a big loop then start doing their up/down passes trough the field. So the field is “opened up”
I absolutely love the framing simulator games, and I am very excited to watch more of this series! Try hiring your ai workers in the corner of the field instead of the middle. that way they will start with the outside headlands, and they will work the field in the proper order. You can also hold the h key which will bring up a menu where you can customize how the ai will work the field, or you can choose to use the game's brand new built in gps system, which will help you keep your lines straight if you want to work your fields yourself.
Watching you play this without ever playing any of the farming simulator games before is great! It's that pure joy of discovering a new game for that first time. Just watching you allowed me to relive the same joy that I felt with my first time playing. I hope you make many more vids on the game. Love your stuff.
AAAAAA FINALLYY 🔥🔥 (also don't worry about making ruts in the field unless you have a crop planted, or if you don't want to worry at all there should be a setting allowing you to disable crop destruction entirely)
The trail you were leaving behind while harvesting is the swath wich you can later turn into bales to either sell or feed your animals in the future. So glad you’re finally playing farming sim 😊
I'm also a Midwest boy living in South Florida, and I've been playing FS since 2015. The mods make it so fun. You can go realistic or as crazy as you want. Have fun learning all the ins and outs.
The series is one of my favourites. There’s so much to do. Farmer cop has some very good tutorials for the FS series. Fs25 mechanics not too different from FS22 so there’s lots of material out there. Be aware the series is addictive. Currently played over 2,700 hours on FS 22
I started watching you awhile ago and have enjoyed your content. This series is just going to be the cherry on top. I’m a real farmer from Wisconsin and if you’re ever interested in learning any of this in real life I can show you! Thanks for all the entertaining content 🩷
Love seeing these farming videos from you trev. I’m 15 and work on a multimillion dollar family farm myself. Doing this for a living is a passion. Some people dread going into work but us no we don’t bc not everyday is the same there’s always going to be something different that happens every day. Keep up the good work man
I’ve never commented on one of your videos, but it genuinely makes me so happy to see the excitement you get from this silly little game I’ve spent so many peaceful hours playing. Enjoy.
Being a farmer is a tough job, yet such an essential one. My dad is a farmer, but it's a small farm so no tractors or big machinery, and man you gotta love it to do it, cause it's just day in and day out, and crazy physical too.
Yes!!!! The most anticipated series I've been waiting for you to play!! I'm so excited for what's to come!!! Nobody does it better!! When you finish the career/tutorials. I'd love to see a starting from scratch series where you start from nothing and work your way up in various farming industries!
I came here after watching your Fast Food Simulator. And I only became interested because of all the comments asking you when you were gonna continue this game 😅 I gotta say, I love it now too 😂🙌🏽
Coming from a person who lives a block from a field in the middle of Iowa, I'd say you want to do two laps on the outside then work line by line to fill the inside
It's like watching a version of myself when I started with FS13 - Just do - pause - realisation kicks in - then presto! - oh so that's how that works! I constantly talk to you via my screen while thoroughly enjoying you discovering your way through the basics of the game. Keep those tractors rolling mate!
When you are doing anything in the field (cultivating, planting etc.) try to do a 3 point or Y turn after each pass. It is way faster if you can get good at it.
So I am a huge farming simulator fan as well as a big Tmartin fan, so I am excited to see both worlds collide. As you start any new map in farming simulator, the beginning will start just like you did, but as you get bigger you will start hiring helpers more and more and turn more into a farm manager deciding what crop to put down, when to sell and what to do with the money you make. Bigger and better equipment you buy makes your life easier and gets jobs done faster so grind out the beginning and the game evolves to a different experience!! I hope you enjoy this game as much as I do!!
I grew up next to a farm in the UK and every year the farmer would drive his Massey Ferguson harvester out into the fields to harvest all the wheat - was fascinating to watch, as was the bailer that gathered up all the hay and turned it into bails at the drop of a hat.
OMG! This is AWESOME! I used live on a farm & my Hubby and I helped out there. Our friend that we were helping gave us a ride on his Masey Ferguson! AWESOME SAUCE right there! :D Thanks for the video! I was sold mostly before when I saw this on Steam. Now I'm over the top about it! I'm getting this game. Just have to find out where to get the stearing wheel now :D Thanks Again, FarmerTmarTn2! :D
Nice one Trev, I’ve been playing FS since FS15 and love it. It’s my zen, it’s my chill out time. Yes it takes time and sometimes it doesn’t go to plan. Can’t see how you get on. Take it easy and have fun learning along the way 😊
I know others here say it's good to see you starting with the tutorial and all that, but for me personally, I like starting from scratch and seeing the struggle of going from nothing and little money and slowly building up to an empire. Also, I'm more of a realistic player. I always cancel the option to just jump from vehicle to vehicle and actually need to walk from place to place. There is no teleporting magic. Last thing, I'm not sure if it exists in the game yet mod-wise, but physical attachments and such, where you actually need to get out of the cabin and attach everything by hand, etc.
Man, seeing your level of excitement is contagious lol. I’ve been playing the FS series since 2011, and they keep getting better and better. Used to, you had to mod the game to be able to harvest cotton. You should come down to West Texas in the Fall sometime and see how we do massive cotton farming here in the South sometime if you want to be amazed. 🇺🇸
Hope Farmer Trev builds his multi millon $ dream farm. But I bet he goes towards cheese and grass. With my experience in life...farming sim is fun. Thanks for the great content. Stay blessed trev.
I been waiting for you to play FS!! This makes me so happy. I hope u get as addicted to farming as i did 3 years ago when i played this for the first time 😊

The way you are supposed to do the field when cultivating and seeding is inside first headlands last that’s what the worker was doing and in real life you have to buy specific seeds to what you are planting there’s no such thing as mixed seeds

It's such a chill relaxing game to play, especially since you have employees that can do things for you but it's such a blast doing it all yourself.
Farming Sim! Let's go! I am a new subscriber, and I love this game. In a previous version, I accidentally lowered the forks and vaulted the tractor into a pond. Ha!
