Certainly was for me! I remember little Miss Guy crossing the stage for Kiddies Carnival and my first ever costume (while still in high school) was as a butterfly in Stephen Lee Heung's presentation of Paradise Lost, with designs by Mr. Minshall. Peter Samuel's portrayal 'The Sacred and The Profane' as King of the Band is forever etched in my memory! ♥️♥️
Beautiful display . And a beautiful Lady Dr La Chapelle . Minshall deserve a whole video 😊 .I am sure its out there , this guy designed lot more iconic mass . Who can forget " washer woman and the river " , and his kings..Thanks so much bro, we have such nice things here . Ps i posted early ( i jumped d gun ) befor i saw the whole video . Ok peep dont forget to hit d 👍 .
Vibes, a very professional and educational exhibition, liked how they took the items and displayed them in an engrossing experience. I also like the used of the visual media in telling the story. The carnival museum in downtown can benefit from using the visual media. I am surprised Peter hasn't been made an honorary doctorate for his contribution to culture, same with the late writer Michael Anthony.
I believe he was given a doctor of letters from the University of the WI, it’s just that he doesn’t use it in his title….and he also has our nations highest award: the Trinity cross
@@rickyaustin5164 yeah, well he was given an honorary Doctorate (unfortunately after his passing) but was also awarded the Hummingbird medal…at least that’s what google told me
One of the things that caught my eye were that stain glass, was it Peter Minstrel design, if so that man is a boss, that looks like Tiffany glass, I never knew that he were born in Guyana, 1974, that year I played with Mc Williams, morby and ice, we had 4000 strong you believe that, yeah man them days was Mas, real Mas, play Mas, from NYC
The exhibit has been extended to March 28th 2024
Opening hours are
Tues-Fri 9am-5pm
Saturday 10am-2pm
Nicely done vibes.......going back in time......
Thank you 🙏🏽

That's great to hear that Peter got a doctorate, too bad Michael Anthony didn't.
