I love that even for a world record speedrun of this game there's still a significant amount of flailing around as you fail to grab things and flip levers
I came here from watching Hat Films play this game, they are hilariously struggling with the controls in Classic mode... but I knew there'd be some lunatic out there who's incredible at the game. Outrageous stuff. Nice work!
@ 7:25 If you release the tether before hitting the lever the frame will extend from centrifugal force, makes it a lot easier to move up with just the screen and would probably save you a few seconds
That’s something I would have to test because the winch takes a while to turn so I usually like to do it first so I can extend the antenna at the same time
This is such a well planned and designed game! I wish we would have more of this type of content. Very few games focus on such cool physics interactions and even fewer games do it as amazingly as this one!
It is kinda cute to see this little buddy move his arms^^ but I am glad there is someone trying to speedrun it. I already got anxiety when you didn't put the belt on you before going out ; - ; xd but well done you really almost mastered it keep working on it you'll do it perfectly some day^^ (not that i could do any better xd)
I only put on the belt on the mining mission when I'm playing with my brother. On the large asteroid I'll be outside and the little shit will try to fly away. I take a belt thing from the station and bring it on the ship and connect the two for more reach
I’ve found on Data that if I extend the big main dish’s antenna while the structure is still folded (it’s right there when you’re setting up dish # 2) it saves me a good chunk of time. You can freely toss yourself at it with a lot of force because you’re basically enclosed in a pen, and this saves you the precarious crawl up out to the end of the dish later. If you’re really great at eyeballing the dish angle and you can manage the tight spaces, you can even set the entire main dish up early and have it come online as soon as it’s plugged in. You tried any of this? Anyway tons of really elegant movement and solutions here, having played tons of this myself I really respect the skill.
Was I the only one trying to find something to put the paper in before it disintegrated? 😂 I had bare balls of paper everywhere then realised I don’t gotta do anything with the paper lol 😂 good 10 minutes
I love this game- pro tip, just open the airlock without the safety doors after you unfreeze the plants and it’ll suck them all out without having to hand pull them
Just bought the game yesterday due to the Black Friday Sale. Watched the advertizing on PSN and then used YT for further information to consider my purchase with the DLC. Now that I am playing it (On Newtonian Difficulty for first play through) I am really hooked. Sadly, I don't have anyone to play this gem of a game with. Hopefully they can add an Online Multiplayer but I am not complaining.😉👍 Edit: Why is it that I can hear you cussing with some of the items that don't float in a way that you want them to? Maybe it would be doing just that out of frustration. 😂

I wish heavenly bodies has a part 2 like adding 4 players or 3 and maybe some new challenges
the devs did announce they were planning on adding additional content so i might speedrun the game whenever that comes out, but it might be a while

btw quick tip the fastest way of getting rid of the dead plants is to open the door into space whitout closing the other one sucking everything out

You can save time at oxygen if you don't close the first door and the suction brings all dead plants out at once
