This is a true return to Mario and Luigi. And this is why: 1. Epic graphics 2. This is a full-on 3D approach than what we usually get in the series. 3. The story is pretty epic, taking place in Concordia. Mario and Luigi are no strangers when it comes to traveling to other kingdoms in the series, but they've never been to an entire world apart from their own. 4. Shipshape Island acts as the game's hub area, traversing the many seas of Concordia. As you progress through the story, more things will become available to you. 5. There many islands for the Bros. to explore. Once they link an island via a lighthouse, they can easily return to that at any time via a pipe. 6. The Bros. will meet all sorts of corlorful and unique characters throughout their adventure. Some characters even play key roles in helping save Concordia. 7. This game really shows how strong the brotherly bond between Mario and Luigi is. 8. Luigi plays an even bigger role than before theough his new Luigi Logic, coming up with ideas to help deal with obstacles in their path. 9. The Hammers are now on separate buttons from the Jump buttons 10. The Bros. will learn new moves throughout the game to help them traverse the islands. 11. Now, let's talk about combat: A. The iconic turn based system returns with a few new tweaks. When using Jump or Hammer, the Bros. will work together to deliver a stronger blow. B. If you're struggling with dodging attacks, Emergency Block can help. C. Bros. Attacks are back and better than ever. The Shells are main staples of the series. While new ones are introduced, they also bring back Bros. Attacks from previous game, such as the Yoo-Who Cannon. D. A small change I noticed is the addition of enemy health bars. Even bosses have them. E. Durin certain Boss Fights, Luigi will get the opportunity to use his Luigi Logic to deal lots of damage or make the boss dizzy and defenseless. All in all, this game is a true return to glory for the Mario and Luigi series. This is the comeback they needed.
What about the amount of dialogue which can be speeded up but not skipped every time killing the pacing of this game What about the boring enemy encounters every time which are useless because you just want to pass the area What about the first 4 hours which were boring as well What about the loading times What about the frame skips What about Luigi being a npc What about the control scheme change B to A You only pointed out the good parts but this game has many flaws

41h 51min for 100% here. This game was awesome. A few things yet to improve, but the new developing company delivered an amazing result. This game had a bit of everything, but mostly, it was purely epic.
From when I was child, the game series that introduced me to the wonders that are JRPGs as a whole was Mario and Luigi: Partners in time. The idea of two characters working together with their younger selves will never not be the coolest thing to me. Subsequent playthroughs of later entries also helped me through rough patches of my life as well. All I’m saying is that this series means so so much to me, and Partners in time is my favourite Mario and Luigi Game. Thank you, Nintendo. And Thank you, Alphadream
While I wasn't a huge Mario gamer growing up, I found that Bowser's Inside Story is my favorite Mario & Luigi game. What made it so enjoyable was the artstyle, the way the story was going, AND the fact that not only you get to control Mario and Luigi, but BOWSER, too. Is it unheard of? No. Is it a game changer? To this plot, yes. When I heard that this game (Brothership) was being released, I got so excited since the Mario & Luigi series were my favorite of the Mario games.
Out of all the M&L series, I would say this one is definitely the most creative and one of my favorites! The art style is beautiful and very unique, which makes it one of the coolest M&L games

My fave is BiS. Playing as Bowser is my favorite part of the whole game. I love his interactions/comments with other characters on his side of the adventure. Every time he’s playable in an RPG, he’s a powerhouse. BiS goes further to give him giant battles, and back then that was (and still is, even as Luigi) epic.
Super glad to include this on my Xmas list! Out of all the M&L series, I'd say my Dream definitive the most creative and well-thought out entry. The game at it's core emphasizes the strong bond between Mario and Luigi, which is central to their character arcs throughout the series😊.

Mario and Luigi Dream Team will always be my favorite Mario and Luigi Game forever. It was the first Nintendo 3ds game I owned ever since I was a kid. What made it so special was the story, art style, humor, action, and adventure throughout Pillo Isle. It made me feel like I was in the game playing as Mario and Luigi, going on a grand adventure to save the Pillo Folk of Pillo Isle.
I loved Partners in time! It was one of my favorite games to play, and the idea of you carrying around the baby version of yourself was always such a fun concept to me! Love the videos man keep up the great content!

Favorite M&L game's gotta be Bowser's Inside Story. I grew up with it as a kid (and i'm doing a replay of it right now!) , the music's slammin' and Bowser makes for a great protagonist. The ending made me real happy too, Bowz got the recognition he deserved.
I totally agree. In my opinion, there should be a Bowser game where he's the main character (not involving Mario and Luigi). He's one of the Seven Star Children, after all. If all of the Star Children could have their solo games, why can't Bowser have one? They can add Bowser Jr. and Bowser's minions in the game, if they would ever make one. Anyway, I like that the final boss in this game is not Bowser related. Also, the Bowser boss fight in this game reminds me of Bowser's Inside Story where Bowser sent his minions to attack. Last but not least, I like how Bowser didn't want any single minions to be left behind, including Goombas, in the end credits.
My favorite Mario and Luigi games has just got to be superstar saga for the gba. I remember going to the retro game store near my house looking for a game for my gameboy advance and my mom surprised me with superstsr saga. I tried playing it and I immediately fell in love with it. I spent hours playing it, it's The best mario and luigi game imo.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership looks so freaking good! Dream Team served as my first Mario & Luigi game as well as my introduction to the series. My heart is filled with pure joy knowing that it can live again.

I've always loved Bowser's Inside Story the most in this series, definitely my favorite. But, this game also had a lot of potential to be amazing. It's still amazing, but maybe it could've used a bit more time in development.

I’m so happy this series is back. I think my favorite Mario & Luigi game is Paper Jam because it’s the first one I owned, but I really enjoyed watching playthroughs of Inside Story. This is probably the first video of yours I’m going to wait to watch so I can play the game myself first.
Love how no one has said paper jam. Also i still play mario and luigi partners in time to this day, I lave lost count on how many times I beaten the game over and over, its just perfect for me, the soundtrack is extremely catchy and some of the best mario sound tracks are there, the story is amazingly well written and yet one of the most darkest mario stories made, the gameplay between the bros and the babies might be much for other players but for me its extremely fun, the bosses are in my opinion the most challenging of the series, and the interactions between the characters are just amazing, I especially love the interactions with luigi and the babies. Definitely my most favorite M&L game

My favorite Mario and Luigi game is officially this: Mario and Luigi: Brothership. Other games are also funny and with a very good gameplay, but Brothership has more to offer. I don't have the game yet, but I watched some videos and I can say that for sure.
My favourite part in the game was then Mario and Luigi used the Fire and Ice Flower as a bros move, BTW Mario & Luigi Bowser’s Inside Story was my childhood!
My absolute FAVORITE Mario and Luigi game, and probably my favorite Mario game period, is Dream Team. It was the first 3DS game I ever had, and I enjoy it to this day.
My favorite Mario and Luigi game is Bowers inside story cause I remember 10 years ago when I played it with my brother. Btw our characteristics lined perfectly with Mario and Luigi: my brother basically going with the flow with ease (like Mario) and me being always scared when I was little (like Luigi). Fun times 🥲
Cannot wait to get this one. It’s hard to narrow down one favorite but have to say Mario & Luigi Dream Team just edges out the others as my favorite. Mainly because of the copious amounts of Luigi in it, but also the story and writing are great too. Anyway, great job on this playthrough!

God I am super excited to get this for the holidays. My favorite Mario and Luigi game is easily Bowser’s Inside Story. The idea of going through Bowser’s body and having him do things in the overworld is such a cool idea.

1:05:05:10 This moment alone has a lot more soul than Dragon Age Veilguard as whole. All the characters we met throught the journey (who haven't been brainwashed) came here to root for Mario and Luigi, even Bowser Jr. and the Extension Corps... and yet somehow IGN awarded Veilguard with a 9/10 and destroyed this one with a 5/10.... go figure..

My favourite has always been Mario and Luigi Bowser inside story. Although i've never finished it as a kid i have a special feeling with that game, it was the first ever title i've played on my dsi way back in 2009 when my parents gifted it to me for christmas, such good memories. The things i dont like about this game: Too much unnessecary dialouge, not a fan of the annoying Banjo Kazooie sound effects. Long loading times. Some sound effects sounds weird and too loud in the mix compared to the music. Some of the music tracks feels uninspired and annoying. Not all of them of course. (But i miss Shimomura) Alot of the sound effects are taken from other games (example: when you get an item from a block you hear the salmonrun sound effect from Splatoon. Ew dont like that). The music does not always fit the different story situations. Very cheap UI design. Using the hammer in the overworld feels very sticky and slow. The B button problem with Luigi. Constant framedrops. No Toadsworth AGAIN. Otherwise a good game xD.
This game feels so alive! The NPC are not just standing idly while talking - they havegestures, facial expressions, moving around during the talk, also other NPC walk by in the backgroud while they talk. Mario and Luigi have more expressions to them, even interrupting during the fight.... and Luigi's genuine happy expression at "Join you too, green guy" at the box hammering

this is such a great return to mario and luigi, but i didn’t watch the whole thing since i don’t want tooooo many spoilers! my favorite will likely always be bowsers inside story since it got me through a pretty rough patch in my life but brothership looks super good, can’t wait to get it when i’m able!!
I've been watching these periodically but now since the full video is here, I can just watch this whole thing which takes... A Full Day! Yeah that makes sense. Anyways though, I gotta say this is shaping up to be one of the best Mario and Luigi RPGs so far, I mean outside of Bowser's Inside Story, the combat is so fluid and I love all the expressions that you can see. A lot of the characters in this game were great as well!

Don’t why the Great Conductor sent Bowser, Bowser Jr. and his Minions to Concordia in the first place due to how much trouble they caused to get the way of Mario and Luigi’s Journey and Mission of restoring Concordia by Reconnecting all the drifting Islands.
I absolutely LOVE Mario and Luigi Dream Team! The story, the characters, the art style, the representation of Luigi, it was the perfect game for 2013's Year of Luigi!
I freakin LOVE the art style of this game. Its SO cartoony and fun! It feels just like Superstar Saga (my fav of the Mario & Luigi games and my favorite growing up)! Games with art like this are why I love my Switch so much! 😊

What planet are you on? Epic graphics? The cutscenes are nice but the in-game graphics are terrible and performance is abysmal.

Mario and Luigi Dream Team will always be my favorite Mario and Luigi Game forever. It was the first Nintendo 3ds game I owned ever since I was a kid. What made it so special was the story, art style, humor, action, and adventure throughout Pillo Isle. It made me feel like I was in the game playing as Mario and Luigi, going on a grand adventure to save the Pillo Folk of Pillo Isle.

Favorite M&L game's gotta be Bowser's Inside Story. I grew up with it as a kid (and i'm doing a replay of it right now!) , the music's slammin' and Bowser makes for a great protagonist. The ending made me real happy too, Bowz got the recognition he deserved.

I totally agree. In my opinion, there should be a Bowser game where he's the main character (not involving Mario and Luigi). He's one of the Seven Star Children, after all. If all of the Star Children could have their solo games, why can't Bowser have one? They can add Bowser Jr. and Bowser's minions in the game, if they would ever make one.
Anyway, I like that the final boss in this game is not Bowser related. Also, the Bowser boss fight in this game reminds me of Bowser's Inside Story where Bowser sent his minions to attack. Last but not least, I like how Bowser didn't want any single minions to be left behind, including Goombas, in the end credits.

My favorite Mario and Luigi games has just got to be superstar saga for the gba.
I remember going to the retro game store near my house looking for a game for my gameboy advance and my mom surprised me with superstsr saga. I tried playing it and I immediately fell in love with it. I spent hours playing it, it's The best mario and luigi game imo.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership looks so freaking good! Dream Team served as my first Mario & Luigi game as well as my introduction to the series. My heart is filled with pure joy knowing that it can live again.
Favorites game would always be Bowser Inside Story in my heart the best. The feeling I felt as a kid while playing are indescriptible

I've always loved Bowser's Inside Story the most in this series, definitely my favorite. But, this game also had a lot of potential to be amazing. It's still amazing, but maybe it could've used a bit more time in development.

Mario and Luigi Dream Team is my favorite Mario and Luigi game. The boss battles are fun, the progression is great, and it is all around fun.

I’m so happy this series is back. I think my favorite Mario & Luigi game is Paper Jam because it’s the first one I owned, but I really enjoyed watching playthroughs of Inside Story. This is probably the first video of yours I’m going to wait to watch so I can play the game myself first.
Love how no one has said paper jam. Also i still play mario and luigi partners in time to this day, I lave lost count on how many times I beaten the game over and over, its just perfect for me, the soundtrack is extremely catchy and some of the best mario sound tracks are there, the story is amazingly well written and yet one of the most darkest mario stories made, the gameplay between the bros and the babies might be much for other players but for me its extremely fun, the bosses are in my opinion the most challenging of the series, and the interactions between the characters are just amazing, I especially love the interactions with luigi and the babies. Definitely my most favorite M&L game

Other games are also funny and with a very good gameplay, but Brothership has more to offer.

My absolute FAVORITE Mario and Luigi game, and probably my favorite Mario game period, is Dream Team. It was the first 3DS game I ever had, and I enjoy it to this day.
My favorite Mario and Luigi game is Bowers inside story cause I remember 10 years ago when I played it with my brother. Btw our characteristics lined perfectly with Mario and Luigi: my brother basically going with the flow with ease (like Mario) and me being always scared when I was little (like Luigi). Fun times 🥲

All the characters we met throught the journey (who haven't been brainwashed) came here to root for Mario and Luigi, even Bowser Jr. and the Extension Corps... and yet somehow IGN awarded Veilguard with a 9/10 and destroyed this one with a 5/10.... go figure..

Wow what a great commitment to record and publish all your playthrough, nice work! I've always enjoyed the mario and luigi games with their lighthearted spirit and charm. My favourite has always been Mario and Luigi Bowser inside story. Although i've never finished it as a kid i have a special feeling with that game, it was the first ever title i've played on my dsi way back in 2009 when my parents gifted it to me for christmas, such good memories. Keep up the good work!
The things i dont like about this game:
Too much unnessecary dialouge, not a fan of the annoying Banjo Kazooie sound effects.
Long loading times.
Some sound effects sounds weird and too loud in the mix compared to the music.
Some of the music tracks feels uninspired and annoying. Not all of them of course. (But i miss Shimomura)
Alot of the sound effects are taken from other games (example: when you get an item from a block you hear the salmonrun sound effect from Splatoon. Ew dont like that).
The music does not always fit the different story situations.
Very cheap UI design.
Using the hammer in the overworld feels very sticky and slow.
The B button problem with Luigi.
Constant framedrops.
No Toadsworth AGAIN.
Otherwise a good game xD.
This game feels so alive! The NPC are not just standing idly while talking - they havegestures, facial expressions, moving around during the talk, also other NPC walk by in the backgroud while they talk. Mario and Luigi have more expressions to them, even interrupting during the fight.... and Luigi's genuine happy expression at "Join you too, green guy" at the box hammering

this is such a great return to mario and luigi, but i didn’t watch the whole thing since i don’t want tooooo many spoilers! my favorite will likely always be bowsers inside story since it got me through a pretty rough patch in my life but brothership looks super good, can’t wait to get it when i’m able!!

Anyways though, I gotta say this is shaping up to be one of the best Mario and Luigi RPGs so far, I mean outside of Bowser's Inside Story, the combat is so fluid and I love all the expressions that you can see. A lot of the characters in this game were great as well!

On the topic of the giveaway, I’d say my favorite game is Bowser’s Inside Story. I know its the most common pick, but I think it’s an awesome game that has everything the Mario & Luigi games are known for, their good humor, their stunning visuals, and, most importantly, a really solid gameplay that keeps you entertained throughout the entire adventure. I’m not saying the other games are bad, it’s just that Bowser’s Inside Story is definitely the highlight of the franchise developed by Alphadream. Anyways, I hope you have an awesome week!

Don’t why the Great Conductor sent Bowser, Bowser Jr. and his Minions to Concordia in the first place due to how much trouble they caused to get the way of Mario and Luigi’s Journey and Mission of restoring Concordia by Reconnecting all the drifting Islands.
