  • There are many beautiful and famous churches all over the world that tourists come to visit because of their storied history, beautiful stained glasses, and architecture. But churches can also be creepy and carry dark history.
Canterbury Cathedral is a beautiful church in Kent, England, and it has a thousand-year history -- but it’s also where the Archbishop of Canterbury Thomas Becket was murdered by King Henry II. Churches are primarily places of worship, but some have them have been places of murder and paranormal activity. Here’s a list of haunted churches you’ll be too scared to visit. Not everything that looks beautiful stores beautiful things!

I used to walk by that church many times in Brooklyn. I never knew it was haunted.

These are truly well told histories of the hauntings with unique details I have not heard before. The only 2 things that keep me from enjoying these accounts complately are: the upbeat background music and the fast pacing on narration. This works great in mini Rockumentary vids but for hauntings... Well pooh, I want it to actually feel a little scary at least. No music at all would honestly lend more ambiance to a video about hauntings. Even better would be a slightly creepy and slower instrumental. Im seriously not trying to be awful. I just wanted to feel the stories more if that makes sense. Thanks for all your hard work and for posting.

You make a good point in a respectful manner, I think it sounds reasonable. The elevator music in the background is surprisingly distracting for me, too! I find myself trying to ignore it instead of listening to the narrator. I wish more people made their opinions heard in the way you did. I really get tired of reading 3rd grade kinds of comments like, "you used the wrong music, stupid. Your channels going under!", or others as rude. I always feel like people that say things like that to total strangers must be consistently wondering why they have no friends...there is a huge difference between having an opinion and being a complete ahole that ends up ignored for being boring crank...anyway, you were just right, imo!😀

Thank you so much. There are truly too many mean, tactless and immature people online that just dont think beyond themselves. They may not like the video for whatever reason but dont stop to think about how much work and care goes into that video by real human beings. I am so tired of seeing that like you are, ugh! Thank you again for your response to my comment because it gives me encouragement and validates my resolve to keep doing the right thing even in other areas of life. Blessings to you!!!

I'm so glad! Too many people mistakenly think that kindness is a weakness, but I never thought so, and recently I discovered that the heroism of the ancient Greek fables and stories is actually based on compassion. It was the idea of caring that gave Perseus his drive, and compassion that activated many of Hercules best acts of strength. Christopher Mcdougall wrote in his book, "Natural Born Heros" about the how deep endurance and compassion are embedded in the hearts of the islanders, and led them to incredible feats when, during WWII, German troops tried to take over the strategically valuable island of Crete. The entire population, children, old people, shepherds, etc., armed themselves with farming tools and ancient guns and faced off stormtroopers with such incredible determination that they actually changed the progression of the German advance. It's a great book, and reminds me that real strength comes from altruism! I have always said that I've been unbelievably lucky all my life, somehow ending up with everything I ever dreamed of with no particular effort, and mentioned to my husband that I often felt kind of guilty about it. He replied that I wasn't lucky, I cared so much about people and animals that I often inspired others to be kind themselves, and said that it generated love. I think he, and you are right, it IS better to be kind!

I am in no way trying to promote myself, but I have similar videos on my channel - and I agree with your points! I very much try to match, and incorporate things well (despite my issues with a faulty mic, at the early stage of uploading). I always wonder why people prefer this type of fast-paced, mismatched editing, than a more full experience regarding the matters.
I have trouble keeping people engaged beyond the introduction, because they want all action - no context.

yes, i am elderly and my concentration is very poor so i dislike the music too - maybe some pleasant - say Gregorian Chant music (which demons apparently hate) would make a fitting background, otherwise i like the presentation overall.

*Both* , although "haunted" may refer to a transference of energy onto natural materials, like wood and stone, that we have yet to fully comprehend, through science.
