    While the core mechanics of Dyson Sphere Program are ready, the game still can grow and evolve a lot - and Early Access is just the perfect place for it to reach its true potential. We believe that by letting players experience the main content of Dyson Sphere Program and actively interacting with them to collect their feedback will allow us to improve the game and make it much better than it would be without this Early Access stage. Our plans are for this EA stage to be about 1 year long. But that is not written in stone

    I'm not sure if I missed something or not, but when you depleted the resources on your home planet for the blue science, did you have blue signs already stocked up or is that something that you have to redo on another planet?

      He said he would have to redo it, but he didn't yet. That's why science is stalled again right now. Shouldn't be much of a problem, though.

    Did you make a replacement Blue science? You may just be working from backup stores of blue cubes! Also when you have hydrogen fuel rods, make sure they are proliferated as they will produce 20% extra energy! Which is awesome, especially for the mech!

    Hello Nilaus
    Could you check if one belt of prolife...something is enough to spray so many belts? It should be maxed on 28 full belts (of equal speed). Maybe they are not full or slower?
    BTW: The series is great 👍

    Do you have any guidelines for when you use PLS/ILS? For example with your Electromagnetic Turbines; presumably if you built in ILS for that build it could have exported the turbines directly?
    Would love to know your thoughts as I'd love a good "north star" to follow when doing my own builds!

    Are you sure it's only 20% proliferated? I thought it's 1,2 ^ n (where n is amount of proliferated steps)...

      The proliferated product is free. I.e. it does not take cycles or production to produce. It is a "bonus" production. But this bonus product does add up when chained at multiple levels. So it is more like 1.2 ^ (n-1). So in this case he would need 1.5 towers or so.

      @@Arcane_123 With more production capacities in between it would be.
      However because the original build was built more or less at ratio the factories for the second and consecutive step won't be able to USE the twenty percent extra units, so they will back up.
      I'm not sure how much leeway is in this particular build, but if the last step before the science is exactly at ratio, then the production of science will be at exactly 120%.
      The savings of raw materials *will* stack up, though.

      True if it is at ratio it will be capped at 120%. Then Nilaus did not need to upgrade the science towers at all.
      If there were some leeway in the build though it could have been producing 170%+ for 4 steps.
      Proliferators feel like a cheat :D

    Looks like the prolifirators want to be on the meridians, then you can distribute those north-south (in straight lines) while normal outputs will be east-west.

    completed my purple set up a 3 or 4 days ago, working on getting infrasture for worpers so I can go get rare materials for the alt recipes, decided not going for all achievements :)

      i set up my purple and my silicon drained in about 4 bits of research lol... resorted to smelting it from stone, like you i need to start venturing further a field

      @@tizzrivierez2794 I made sure I had tapped off planet some time before purple to ensure no issues like that. I use the same seed every play through just for convenience so I know what resources are in which planets/systems. Need to finish my 2022 playthrough or most of it before 18th Feb when Horizon Forbidden West comes out

      Nilaus rarely uses mods, and this one in particular seems like it's not the kind of content he usually does...

    Great episode! I am enjoying this playthru quite a bit. I am looking forward to see how you get the power mess sorted out. I've always used the artifical stars but you've got me intrigued with this accumulator setup and I think I wanna roll that way instead.

    I'm curious about something. Anybody know the answer?
    You can't waste proliferators by proliferating things that are already proliferated, yes?
    So if you proliferate an item at level 1, then try to proliferate it again at level 2 or 3, does it stay at level 1 or go to level 2 or 3?
    Does Nilaus have something proliferated at level 1? I've seen multiple videos where level 1 proliferated items are getting mixed in, and he keeps blaming it on power. Could the reason be there's some items already level 1 proliferated being supplied into his planetary network?

      Nilaus is only using lvl2, soo no mix is possible. Instock it is hard to see if stuff is proliferated because it will show you the average. Why the proliferater it self is mixed in lvl is unclear for me still aswell, could be power problems.

      When power flickers, the spray coater may miss an item passing by, so it stays unproliferated

    Without the processors production in this build being proliferated, won't this setup be processor starved trying to support 24 labs making purple science?

    The outputs of the 2nd ILS (at 10:00)can be proliferated if the belts are turned 90 degrees the moment they come out of the center ILS ports. I have already adjust my copy of the blue print.

    Considering I've built full half a lava planet for smelting, half a gobi planet for production and a quarter planet for chem in progress, I will soon be swimming in H2. (circling a ice giant)

    Why bother with hydrogen power if deuterium is on the menu? They consume roughly the same amount of resources, but output a magnitude more per unit.

    I've started replaying DSP because of this series.
    I do have a question that I haven't noticed you answering: is there a general principle to make sure your hydrogen and refined oil don't get backed up and start blocking the other? Once your build starts getting big and involving logistics stations I can't think of a good way to ensure that both are always being entirely consumed. Feeding them into power at the backend doesn't seem like it would reliably work since I'm pretty sure power stations burn slower if you aren't actually using the power, and I don't know how to make it a "backend" if I use logistics stations.

      Later on refined oil is the product you want. So if that backs up production stops. Hydrogen will be plentifull with orbital collectors and other systems having hydrogen as byproducts. Local burning and accumulator exchanger setup keeps thermal stations going almost all the time

    It's really fun playing DSP along with these videos, but i'm totally lost on the polar hub we placed down in the last episode and the one showed in this one. It feels like it's alot more to do than just connecting everything with belts again.

      On his channel there's a tutorial section with everything explained about the Polar Hub. Basically every tower takes the necessary items to make one building and make it available. Wich building you can guess from the fabricator recepit. The outer belts are cosmetic to make a yellow line o science cubes, and the intertowers belts are for warpers we don't have the tech to make yet, at least at the start of the episode.

    this may be a stupid question but when you place the conveyor belt in a hook, how to chance the hook to the other side? if i press 'R' then it's snaps loose from the grid?

    Hi All im a little confused and couldnt really find an explanation to answer my question so i'll ask here, the proliferation stuff, I understand that production speed up increase the unit per minute but what exactly does extra product? I have ran two identical systems next to eachother one with production speed up and one with extra product set and the only different i can see is that production speed up gets you more faster. what is extra product setting even doing? yes i see that it increase the amount a production a smidge over nonproliferated stuff but beyond that i dont see any reason why i would ever use that setting over production speed up.

      Specifically it's only really useful if you're working with components that you are not mass producing/harvesting, ie. Before I got my sulfuric acid production up, I was using extra product setting for creating graphene.
      In other words, extra product makes more output per input item, rather than per second.
      Hope that helps!

      It should mean that you'll get more quicker (not as quick as pure production speed) but you get more for the same amount of input components (base ratio). With production speedup you'll consume quicker aligned with the buildspeed increase. This might mean that belts reach capacity quicker, so you can use fewer constructors, but the power increase wouldn't make sense, you might as well just have more constructors for less power. It would only make sense to me if you had a few constructors and you didn't want to make a large build, but you wanted them to work faster. Maybe like at a hub.

      I don't think you mean what you think you mean. Yes the music is copyrighted. It is composed specifically for this game by their composer. But that is probably not what you meant...

    I really love the series! I think it would be awesome to get a better sorted Blueprint book in the long run and you maybe could show that. I would actually be really intrested to see an attempt of you for the speedrun achievements but in a you fashion by preparing the Blueprints thinking the strateegy through etc.
    And regarding the proliferation I am a HUGE fan of prolifeerating the outputs especially since proliferation is rather cheap in terms of resources (if you are not burning it in burners that is)
