I LOVED this convo with Terri Cole soooo much. One of my fave parts was when she talked about "the real meaning of resentment" ❤🔥 What was your favorite takeaway? Comment below and let me know!
Yes! Setting boundaries allow you to define what you're willing to accept or tolerate and what you're not, which helps you make better decisions, maintain priorities, and stay focused on your goals.
How wonderful ❤️ to see a picture of Terri's boots on the ground 😀 that group 😀 Terri's knowledge ,John Bradshaw books of many 😀 Home coming reclaiming your in child 😀 Terri has saved countless lives 😀
It's such a treat watching you; you're so pretty and, helpful and generous....Stay blessed, Alex...I've learned a lot from you....More success to you.🤩
Emotional trustworthy people 😍 Love that statement. It's great POV that when we set the right boundaries you do other a favor because they know what to expect from you. Amazing!
They could be entitled, but we are teaching people how to treat us. Something I really needed to learn as well. Boundaries! Being such a people pleaser I go with what people want, later regret it like you said , wow this person is selfish when in reality we should set boundaries from the gecko.
Absolutely taking notes on this. I'm writing my goals for the year and one of them is to initiate an important conversation with someone close to me about boundaries in our relationship
Truth is always bitter, but bitter is good for your health. That's why if you know me by now, I am very bad at people pleasing. At times there should be a clear demarcation between a Yes and a No, Let the world feel bad about it. My life experience it's better to say No rather then struggling to appreciate after you say a FAKE YES.
Oh my GOSH this is so good. Speaks to me so much in my own journey of being a recovering people-pleaser. An authentic "no" is so much easier when you don't have a BS "yes"! I couldn't help but share this with a bunch of friends and my mom 😆 Thank you for this!
Ooh you said a bad word - "limits" - yikes! Rebel! Setting 🚫 limits... Is the #1 most powerful thing I need to do for myself this week, month, let alone year. Thank you and Terri, a fave, for addressing the actionable "how to" for those of us who need the step by step. Cheers to the most powerfully successful new year to come, Babes! Let's get it, politely, professionally, with as much care & integrity for ourselves as we too oft give so freely to others, without limit. ;o) right?
New Years Resolutions are Jokes, It's not how Life works, but rather how your brain works on the basis of a notion that it's new year, need to have some resolutions. It's absurd, When life pushes you back, That's when you make a resolution. Otherwise every other time, it's just for the heck of satisfying yourself, like a lie, that you tell yourself. Resolutions are made truly when Life pushes you back. At least that's how I feel.
