Thank you Lindsay I appreciate the free down load and looking forward to watching your tutorial video again and following you. :)
You are so welcome!
This is beautiful, LIndsay. Thank you for being so generous with your time and with allowing us to use this as a card if we like. So kind of you.
You are so welcome!
Absolutely gorgeous ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi Lindsay.....just finished your Michael's class....SO much fun. This class came at the perfect time because I've been down with covid all week and this is the first day I'm feeling a bit better. This class really picked me up. Thank you so much....see you tomorrow for sat chat!😘
I am so glad you are feeling better!
@@thefrugalcrafter 😘
What a great teaching video. The composition was perfect for a Christmas card. You made it come so alive. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
Rainbow order undertones. Makes life easier and so pretty 💕
Yup!
yes, I sort by color, too
the effects you get - pine needles, the metal bucket, the pine cone - are amazing
Thank you!
Super seasonal picture. Love it Lindsay 😊❤xx
Yay, thank you!
This is beautiful!
Thanks 😊
I already commented but wanted to say that I went and ordered a small set of ohuhu markers to try out. Your presentation helped me make up my mind. The colors are gorgeous.
I'm so glad!
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
The picture looks so realistic. I like to watch people sort and organize. Have a good weekend.
Thank you! You too!
Love that stand. It's very tempting 🙂
Thank you for being so kind and generous with us and showing us techniques that myself and probably many others are not really familiar with when it comes to alcohol markers. I rarely if ever think to translate my pencil skills to markers and you have reminded me that I can do this. I greatly appreciate you sharing the line drawing with me so that I can maybe adapt slightly by adding one or two elements for some Christmas postcards for my family. I sadly do not get to have my family home this year for Thanksgiving or Christmas and it's something I'm having a very hard time with. God bless you and keep your family safe as you go through these holidays and be so busy with us and your family and home and friends, we are all so very grateful for you.
Aww, thanks so much:)
Another wonderful illustration
and video! ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
I can’t wait to give this a try! Thanks Lindsay♥️
You are welcome 😊
💕🌸 Thank you! It’s a Lindsay day💕🌸
Yay!
Such a fun piece. Fabulous tutorial as per usual. Hubby gave me the Ohuhu 320 set for Christmas last year and then 4 of the bamboo storage for my birthday this past September. I had made a storage case from foam board but really didn't like it even though it was functional. The bamboo units look so nice and I love that they have single row shelves. I can remove a marker and not have the ones above or below move.
Oh wow!
I am amazed at the effect you get with marker. It’s fun to watch it evolve into a lovely finished art piece. My mind has trouble thinking the way you have to paint the strokes like you do. Just amazed!
Thank you so much!
I'll be receiveing my 320 Ohuhu Chisel/Brush markers tomorrow and downloaded Rene Clarks Color Catalog and can't wait to play. I'm late to the marker party but jumping in with both feet. After watching this video I'll be heading over to your website and signing up for Your Markers Class. Merry Christmas to me! 8-)
Wonderful!
thank you for sharing all the art goodness you do,i was in Alice Lims live this morning she was happy you mentioned her ,look forward to sat chat tomorrow, xxxooo
Aww, that's so nice!
Lovely festive piece.
Another great tutorial. I liked the advice on the different marker tips. There is one other alcohol marker you haven't tried that I just learned about while looking for something else: filling a water brush with marker refill ink. Ohuhu is selling a 6 pack of different size water brushes (which they list as Watercolor Painting Brushes) for $5.99 in their Black Friday sale. You can make a real brush alcohol marker that's not much more expensive than buying a replacement marker. I haven't had time to dig too much in this, but people are using fountain pen inks, food coloring, inkjet ink, and other inks. Not every ink will work because some will eventually clog and jam the brush. There are articles and videos on some of the inks that have been tried.
I think it will flood out too much ink, and you will have feathering. Also, the alcohol ink may damage the bristles of the waterbrush and dry in the chamber. Evaporation and fumes may be an issue too.
JetInk was the site recommending using marker refills. Derwent didn't think alcohol would damage their water brush, but I hadn't asked about marker ink. Sarah Renae Clark has done some coloring pages using alcohol in a water brush to activate Inktense.
Koosje Koene does a quick demo on her channel.

I have a set of BIC alcohol markers that I never used for a painting or drawing. I might give this a try. Thanks for the line art sheet. It eould be too much work for me tomtackle thst AND paint. Have a great weekend Lindsay!
Have fun!
Hullo Lindsay, I enjoyed your lovely card or potential card tutorial simply for showing off a new marker storage box. Unfortunately I would need 4 to 6 boxes to store my markers, I am kind of curious how you decided what would fit in yours what is the most useful or project friendly selections? Because you also have quite a few markers left over in your black bag. I was a joy to watch you work and thank you for being so generous to all your viewers, but that’s nothing new. Again thank you!
I'll probably use it to store a smaller collection on my hobby desk or for My wide markers.
This is beautiful, Lindsay! I just came over here after your fabulous Michaels class. Thanks for sharing all of your expertise with us! ❤
You are so welcome!
You are always a joy. I actually hand drew this and the Michaels bobble class. I'm much more brave after taking your drawing class😊
Thank you for the fun tutorial and review.
Oops! I have a class to get to!!!
Wonderful!
Such a cute illustration. I really enjoyed it!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful illustration! I like watching other people putting art supplies in rainbow order, but I hate to have to do it myself 😅
😆
Thank you for always sharing awesome ideas with us and showing us how to go about creating something beautiful! I checked for the drawing in the description but cant find a link or anything. Am I missing it? Probably lol. Have a great day!
The link is there at the end of the supply list.
I absolutely love this Lindsay, such a good tutorial, I'm definitely going to have a go.
Silly question but how do you know which pencils are wax based?
Thank you x
All pencils are a mix of wax and oil but if they have more wax they are more opaque. Some brands make a big deal about being oil based and mention it (polychromos, Pablo, etc) but other you have to try out.
@@thefrugalcrafter thank you for your reply , I have a set of chromoflow which I really like and I've just got a 72 set of arteza expert so here goes 😊
Thank you for this video! Love it! I’m needed to find 70lb weight paper. It’s for a jewelry project and I’m doing Zentangle on the paper. Any suggestions?
Michaels recollections standard caedstock is #65
@@thefrugalcrafter Thank you, appreciate the info! I have an author recommendation, Richard Osman. He has written four novels based on the Thursday Murder Club, which is the title of his first book. My daughter, Lindsey, and I have read them all! Very big fans!
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
