Give A Little Bit , Renegade , Stuck In The Middle With You , Foreplay / Long Time .I wasn't even 12 when Boston came out and More Than A Feeling is still one of my favorites from that era
England Dan and john Ford Coley, always put on a professional show. Yes I spent many an hour seeing concerts from the best decade of music, the seventies. If I Had a dollar for every dude, that sang, more than a feeling for me, I'd be rich.
Lonely boy was the first song I heard play on the radio when I turned 14. It instantly resonated with me as did Gerry Rafferty, Supertramps give a little bit and breakfast in America. So many banging songs from the 1970s and some many people don't know like Jack in the box by the moments
My roommate got this Boston album when it just hit the stores. His mother worked in the music department in what used to be May's Department Store and she would let her son know about the new popular stuff they got. We made a deal, I would pay half the price of the albums he decided to buy (on his mothers recommendation) if I was able to record the first play on my reel to reel recorder. Of course as soon as I got done recording Boston's first album I was hooked. Between the two of us, even as broke kids, we were able to snag a lot more music splitting the price. Sometimes he'd get an album I didn't think I wanted, he'd play the record and I'd feel rather dumb for not springing for half, that was the case with the Dave Mason album. I didn't know who Dave Mason was, hadn't heard anything he did so I didn't end up with the first play. Many times, like with Dave Mason, I'd end up buying the factory reel to reel tape because I liked it that much.
I've always loved that Andrew Gold song. I sang in a cover band for a while in the early 80's, and we did a lot of Linda Ronstadt songs. I've always wondered if this song wasn't a bit of a dig at Linda over the fact that he never had the success that she had, so he was resigned to being her arranger and a player in her band for many years.
Missed: Anything by David Cassidy (yes the man who was better looking than most men with more than 20 albums to his name, #1 hit in the world in 1970 the first song he sang professionally and had 2 Broadway hits and 3 years top draw in Vegas in the 90s, have some respect for the guy! He sang about suicide when he was 24 and paired his writing with very famous people). Then there is Leo Sayer, Harry Nilsson, The Doobie Bros, The Allman Bros, Grand Funk Railroad, The James Gang, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pure Prairie League, Four Tops, Al green, Curtis Mayfield, Dianna Ross, The Spinners, The O’Jays, Eric Carmen, The Eagles, Chicago FFS…anything by Stevie Wonder and ABBA, ELP, ELO, Deep Purple, Focus, Blondie, Jim Croce, Carly Simon, Jackson Brown…. Were you born after 2000? SMH
I'd have to include Cliff Richard. He just got a raw deal in the USA from Ed Sullivan when he refused to sing an old pub song rather than his current hit.
How long was revived in 1981 by the Disco group Lipps Inc. As a follow up to 1979s Funky Town. It reached number 4 in the US dance charts. Neither version is heard much on UK radio. The ACE version was a lovely change from the Glam Rock and pop of 1974.❤️
You check a top 40 or even a top 100 from the 70s on each year and dude! Super jewels!! Not to mention the rabbit holes that open from then on, you wont have any time for nowadays crap and think about if besides the 70s you do that same on the 60s and/or 80s...
there's a reason these songs got left in the sleeve, they were so popular halfway through the 80s they got over played and people stopped requesting them radio stations stopped playing them
The song MAGIC by Pilot is also used in the Ozempic commercial has changed. I, the people from Ozempic and millions of other remember OH, OH, OH it's magic. However it has changed to HO, HO, HO it's magic. In the Ozempic commercial it is O, O, O Ozempic. Thanks again Mandela Effect for messing up another song.
I have to say you put the B50 twos on here. I believe they should have been on a different list. Compared to all your other songs on this list, there catchy huggy rappy B50 twos. Yeah, they should have been on a different list.Just my opinion
I can never hear Supertramp's "Give a Little Bit" without thinking of its use in the 1978 Superman movie, because someone editing that picture clipped out a full measure of the music between shots. Apparently they weren't familiar with the song or were just painfully tone deaf because it's a jarring glitch, like a record skipping a groove. It's odd to me that the music was already on the pictures soundtrack before they were editing it.
@@alancrisp1582Sorry, but the truth is that the announcer’s manner is just awful - pure cringe, fake sentimentality……& in every video he manages to get something wrong in the “facts”. Sad but true.😢
1. 'Give A Little Bit' - Supertramp lost a lot of us when they sang the devil is my saviour. 2. 'Lonely Boy' - not awesome 3. 'Right Down The Line' - great song 4. 'Driver's Seat' - poor man's 'Wicked Game' (Chris Isaac) 5. 'Street Life' - not awesome, not even some 6. 'Love Is The Answer' - blah 7. 'How Long' - great song 8. 'Renegade' - garbage, Lorenzo Lamas is spinning in his grave; 'Blue Collar' by BTO tops 'Blue Collar Man' 9. 'Magic' - thanks, I'll go to Olivia Newton-John for my Magic. Fittingly, yours now sells a weight loss drug 10. 'Foreplay/Long Time' - absolutely slaps the salami 11. 'Dance This Mess Around' - can't say anything bad about the B-52's 12. 'Stuck In The Middle With You' - thanks for wasting 20 minutes of my life.
Come and Get Your Love by Redbone!
Lonely Boy is in my top 10 favorite songs. Even more so since 1st meeting him in the 80's and jamming with him in the 90's and 2000's
Give A Little Bit , Renegade , Stuck In The Middle With You , Foreplay / Long Time .I wasn't even 12 when Boston came out and More Than A Feeling is still one of my favorites from that era
Great video 70s were great. Just like in 80s.
Foreplay/Long Time is my favorite song on Boston’s debut album, it’s absolutely amazing 💯%😎
We had such good music in those days! ❤😊
England Dan and john Ford Coley, always put on a professional show. Yes I spent many an hour seeing concerts from the best decade of music, the seventies. If I Had a dollar for every dude, that sang, more than a feeling for me, I'd be rich.
About half of these are already in my playlist. Now the rest of them are as well. 👍
Same here, huge 70's fan and that's the majority of my playlist. Just can't beat the music back then.

Quite a few of these tracks I used in my school reunion focused on the late 70s from fall of 77 to June of 80.
The song Renegade by Styx has been revived and is well known to anyone who has watched the series, "Supernatural". Love these songs.

Please post more music 🎵 that occurred in the’60’s& 70’s. I really liked that era !! Thanks 😊 💜.
I agree with the entire list...except for Styx.🙄
The rest of the songs are truly classic and well-written songs.
england dan aka dan seals ...brother of jim seals of seals and croft fame.

Knew all 12, have most of the albums. Some more to track down. 😊

Don't forget Amon Duul; 'Wie Der Wind Am Ende Einer Strasse'
I saw Ace perform “How Long” in 1974. I just learned how to play it last week. Now I’m mad I didn’t learn it 50 years ago!😂

American. Not heard of many because I am English and was living in Switzerland most of thee 70s
Somebody tell me love.Isn't the answer and then they won't know
Forgetting Roger Miller, The Supremes and SuperTramp is stunning.
I recommend the extended version of, "Driver's Seat"
Hate to say it, but the drive and the sniff and the tears, whatever song that was sucked back in the day. But hearing this now it's awesome.
Why do you randomly flip so many video clips backward?
Probably trying to avoid copyright strikes.
I Remember that I know all good songs, so challenge me.

You needed to play the music longer.

More song, less horrible voice of this announcer. Ugggh
Try using the mute 🔕 button next time Karen !..
@@alancrisp1582 What a great way to listen to these underrated songs, by muting. OK "alan".

Have you seen Supertramp's Breakfast in America album cover in reverse. They were shills.
Where is America, man. Those guys are too unknown, underated - whatever. And of course Wishbone Ash.....theres a bunch.
Street life by the Crusaders. Sharkey's Machine. Movie night on Gargantua One.
Song list plz
I love the Ozempic song.
Way too much of you running your mouth and not enough of the songs.
How about Hooked on a feeling by Blue Suede??
What would the list look like for today’s (crap) I mean “music”?
more music less talk
If you liked this list of songs - I bring to you "Tarney Spencer Band". th-cam.com/video/J03wwiTz8fY/w-d-xo.html
Would of been nice to hear the music instead of the annoying voice over
Too much commentary, too little music.
Maybe the lamest list ever. Change the title to "Songs Played So Often that They're Too Hackneyed for Elevator Music". Bury these ear sores!
1. 'Give A Little Bit' - Supertramp lost a lot of us when they sang the devil is my saviour.
2. 'Lonely Boy' - not awesome
3. 'Right Down The Line' - great song
4. 'Driver's Seat' - poor man's 'Wicked Game' (Chris Isaac)
5. 'Street Life' - not awesome, not even some
6. 'Love Is The Answer' - blah
