Loki really is the best part of all things Thor related, hes torn and struggling, but you can still see parts of his mind working in sequince with each scene, hes so creative :)
tom hiddlestons version is just awesome... you just wanna reach out to him and try to help him. you feel the struggle to be worth something everytime he's with his brother and see how he's constantly cut short. you absolutely want him to overcome his internal struggle and become some one better.... but i can't see him becoming better and just stepping back into thor's shadow again.
I never would have read any Thor comics had it not been for the film. Even though I knew they were different I did my research and started reading the 2007(?) restart. Definitely worth it.
Tom Hiddleston made Loki likeable in the Thor movie :) I love the role he played and I can't wait till the Avengers, to see the storylines coming together in one epic film :D
I have to say my favorite part of The Avengers movie was the exchange between Loki and Thor on the mountain when Thor grabbed him from the jet. It was out of place with the rest of the movie because of the language used. It was the best part of the movie for me.
Loki is becoming a recurring character in the movies. He will definitely be in Thor 2 and he will probably appear in other movies. There's a lot of room to develop his character.
Although Loki is originally Odin's bloodbrother, Thor and Loki was an original bromance in old norse sagas. He's not always evil, just totally amoral. In one story he ate the heart of the witch godess Angerboda and turned into a woman and gave birth to Fenris. There is a really funny well made comic by Peter Madsen called Valhalla. Check it out.
Even though Loki is a deadly Machiavellian enemy and A-list heavy hitter villain it's interesting how that even though he’s Thor’s enemy he’s also emotionally tortured and recognizes their brotherly love for each other. In my opinion this interestingly parralels how in the X-men Magneto (despite being an on and off villian) and Prof.X are always apparently friends despite opposing each other for the most part until Magneto’s most recent reform in the “Nation X” storyline.
Stunning Tom Hiddleston who's character is Loki has been one of my fav Marvel comic books which I like the most hope to see Loki with his own movie out there one day maybe not now but in the near future, maybe more of the unknown comic books characters come out in force now that would be awesome eg! Marvel - Zzzax,Armor (Hisako Ichiki) / DC - Firestorm,Pandora. :)
i was just thinking this woman doesn't know anything... but then she made me laugh when she says "i hope he doesn't die and turn into a little boy." -serious face- goodness.. that was funny!!! XD ahhhh loki is the best...
He wasn't really manipulated, Him & Thanos were working towards the same goal really. Just cause we didn't know he was working with Thanos till the end credits didn't mean that Loki didn't know.
Marvel really have a thing at the moment for nature vs. nurture! Loki, Hope, Genesis (aka Kid! Apocalypse). I find it fascinating and can't wait to see how each of them turn out! As for the movie verse, I am eagerly anticipating the trial of Loki in Thor 2. Exciting stuff!
I wish they did a movie based on a villain. I recently read the Red Skull Incarnate by Greg Pak and I believe this has to be one of the best Villain Origins ever. He had his own problems and Schimdt ( red skulls real name ) could have become a superhero himself. Im serious, Red Skulls origin is BEAST.
A minor nitpick: dressing Thor in drags was Heimdall's idea in the myths. Loki did though, and even with the dress, i took all his talents for deception to pass Thor for a young maiden.
Loki is the man. I remember Stan Lee once said that Loki was suppose to be the most powerful villain in the Marvel Universe. Of course this was back in the early days when the Gods were considered more powerful than the cosmic beings. I understand the roles have reversed now but still those were the days.
Can't recommend Journey into Mystery enough! The Kid Loki tales are clever, many times LOL funny and all the while there is a sense of sadness as to whether he will end up just as before..Plus there's Thori his dog from hell...literally
That's what I said: Odin and Loki are blood brothers. (read my original comment again) However, the tales are mostly about the trouble Thor and Loki get into - most of which being caused by Loki to begin with.
To answer one question, here's my response: Thor keeps forgiving Loki because he's family. Real family bonds look past deeds and actions. Also, there is always the chance that Loki can change his ways. He really is more of a tragic character than most people want to believe. And people who know from experience what it's like to be the 'second best' in the family, like myself, can relate to Loki's desire to want to be better than Thor in some way. And I think Thor understands that somehow.
I love Toms version of Loki. I'm huge Iron Man fan but my fav character in Avengers is clearly Loki. All my female friends thinks he is charming in an menacing way and I totally agree with them. One of my friends said he had his own unique Hanibal Lecterish aura.
Or (and I hope not until then) in Avengers 2, because I think in the comics the redemption of Loki came with the avengers and then he dies and reborn as a child right? I really think Loki needs his own movie, is a very deep and interesting character and as you said before, some people can identify with him...but need to know the entire history, not just what the "good" Odin and the good Thor have said.
I love Thor for making Loki that awsome He always had this nice back story but it seeamd to be it was forgotten by writers and reduced to some crasy villian like a bad copy of the joker espachaly the "redeption" part now lives on once again :D loking forward to the next issu of into the mystery and the next thor movie :D
They are...kinda. Marvel got Alan Taylor (a director from Game of Thrones - Season 1 and Season 2) to direct "Thor 2: The Dark World". Rumors say that "Thor 2" should have a darker feel to it and will delve deeper into Asgard and won't take place anywhere near Earth/Midgard.
I have to admit Tom Hiddleston definitely me more interested in Loki because before than I really disliked Thor comic books...actually technically I never read any Thor comic books since I disliked him so much in The Avengers comics that I didn't even bother to read any of his comic books. Sometimes you have to let your pants do the thinking because now I really like Thor's comic books and it's various characters ;)
I have two questions for those who read the comics- if someone could answer, much obliged!! Why does Thor like Loki and keep forgiving him? It must be more than just "they're brothers!" or "they were raised together!" because Loki's done enough bad to outweigh that... What does Thor see? What happened to Sigyn? Especially since Loki's a kid now... And did Loki ever like/love her? Thanks!!
i always liked loki. my first time reading him in a story was back when the new mutants first when to asgard. and i was just blown away by his cleverness and the character design and i would read thor just for loki and enchantress (those two had a great dynamic as they would always be planning to double cross each other). not to put down the actor or the movies but the movie loki was just too weak (power wise) as they focused more on his cunning and none of his magic save for a few illusions
tome hiddleston is such a great loki. he was the best part of thor. i'm so excited for avengers. do you think they are going to break the trend of killing there villians? i always assumed he would just be killed at the end of avengers or something. i can't really imagine a superhero movie villian lasting past 1 movie, but 2? hmm.
Loki is very well made character, though if he'd be ugly, he'd probably lose 90% of his "compassionate" fangirls, who cried for him and want to give him a hug.
hey grace have you seen the avngers movie? id love to hear about what you guys thought about it and how it stacked up soft of speak to what you guys were hopeing
Loki really is the best part of all things Thor related, hes torn and struggling, but you can still see parts of his mind working in sequince with each scene, hes so creative :)
Glad you were able to find it! I hope you enjoy the issue! :)
- Grace
Loki is very underrated. I'm glad the Thor film really helped his popularity rise a bit. And I hope The Avengers film will do the same for Hawkeye.
tom hiddlestons version is just awesome... you just wanna reach out to him and try to help him. you feel the struggle to be worth something everytime he's with his brother and see how he's constantly cut short. you absolutely want him to overcome his internal struggle and become some one better.... but i can't see him becoming better and just stepping back into thor's shadow again.
Yay! I'm so glad to hear that! :)
- Grace
loki one of the best and coolest supervillain ever, loved him in thor and now in the avengers cant wait to see him in thor 2
i have to say that im going to miss this..i hope you guys do it again
thanks a lot for posting this! I never could read the comics and I just discovered so much about them. Thank you!
I love how they are using both the first issuess of both universes. Loki from the 616 and aliens/beings from the ultimates
I never know Loki before... Tom Hiddleston brings him to life
Sadly, we didn't see the redemption of Loki in Avengers, but there's still the hope it'll be in Thor 2!
I think Loki really added something to the movie but just in generally all characters were well cast ...... Brilliant
I never would have read any Thor comics had it not been for the film. Even though I knew they were different I did my research and started reading the 2007(?) restart. Definitely worth it.
I FREAKING LOVE TOM HIDDLESTON! HES SO CUTE AND DANGEROUS LOOKING AT THE SAME TIME! :D
Tom Hiddleston made Loki likeable in the Thor movie :) I love the role he played and I can't wait till the Avengers, to see the storylines coming together in one epic film :D

thor 2 baby gotta see that next with that gorgeous tom hiddlston in it
Loki is becoming a recurring character in the movies. He will definitely be in Thor 2 and he will probably appear in other movies. There's a lot of room to develop his character.
i loved what the movie did with loki it was the first time i felt odin loved him
LOVE YOU GRACE!!!
so much history in one character : O
Although Loki is originally Odin's bloodbrother, Thor and Loki was an original bromance in old norse sagas. He's not always evil, just totally amoral. In one story he ate the heart of the witch godess Angerboda and turned into a woman and gave birth to Fenris.
There is a really funny well made comic by Peter Madsen called Valhalla. Check it out.
I love Loki, and I'm a guy!
There's just something about him that makes him so AWESOME!
Loki is so beautiful!
I wish this show had some background music. Still, I will keep watching.
Love this Grace! You're great! Thank you very much for this! =)
I got a friend into Thor comics and comics in general, because of how much she like Thor in the movie
I agree. I think once get back to the journey into Mischief that a modernized Loki comic would do wonders for the series (No more 1960's look XD).
Hiddles made Loki hot and made us sympathize with him which is awesome!
loki in thor was like casting heath ledger as the joker its like they went out and found loki and asked him to be in a movie
Loki is the new Dr Doom.
Put him on any cover and I'll buy it (...as long as he looks like Hiddleston)
Female Loki was one of my favorite characters in comics. I loved the Cabal in Dark Reign.
Stunning Tom Hiddleston who's character is Loki has been one of my fav Marvel comic books which I like the most hope to see Loki with his own movie out there one day maybe not now but in the near future, maybe more of the unknown comic books characters come out in force now that would be awesome eg! Kenneth Branagh probably wanted Loki to have a Hamlet-esqe feel to the character... it worked.
i was just thinking this woman doesn't know anything... but then she made me laugh when she says "i hope he doesn't die and turn into a little boy." -serious face- goodness.. that was funny!!! XD ahhhh loki is the best...
He wasn't really manipulated, Him & Thanos were working towards the same goal really. Just cause we didn't know he was working with Thanos till the end credits didn't mean that Loki didn't know.
I want Loki to have his own movie
Grace Randolph & Loki rules!
Tom gave so much for Loki! It would be awesome if they showed Loki as a woman in either The Avengers or in Thor 2! :D
Loki is the sexiest character in the Marvel universe!
good point buddy....
AGREED!
luv this channel!

However, the tales are mostly about the trouble Thor and Loki get into - most of which being caused by Loki to begin with.
They should make a UltraForce, New Warriors, Great Lakes Avengers, Thunderbolts and X-Factor movies.
You should do these again
love love your videos, love your comics book Supurbia
Could they have a movie for just Loki? Lol I'd pay to see that:)
not "i think tom is a good loki" you KNOW tom is a fucking amazing loki!
To answer one question, here's my response: Thor keeps forgiving Loki because he's family. Real family bonds look past deeds and actions. Te amo, Loki!
* I meant "loki did help"
I like Loki as a villain. If it is not broken don't fix it.
In my opinion, Loki is by far the hottest villain in movie history.
I think he already does. Journey Into Mystery, if I'm not mistaken.
nice to hear intelligent people discuss comics
woooooh!! a comic book fan Marvel & DC :)
Loki!
I adored Loki in Thor! He's a big part of why I'm excited for the Avengers. And between us girls he's hot!haha
Comics to Movie: BANE... Please Grace, PRETTY PLEASE??
Or (and I hope not until then) in Avengers 2, because I think in the comics the redemption of Loki came with the avengers and then he dies and reborn as a child right? Loki is gonna get some bitches to kneel
-Tom Hiddleston

Tom Hiddleston is awesome! I like Loki very much! I am on team Loki!
Just curious, since I haven't read too many Norse legends... but weren't Odin and Loki the ones who were blood brothers in those?
I have to admit Tom Hiddleston definitely me more interested in Loki because before than I really disliked Thor comic books...actually technically I never read any Thor comic books since I disliked him so much in The Avengers comics that I didn't even bother to read any of his comic books.

he does...
Thanks!!
I think fangirls would kill to see Loki have his own movie.
Loki from Thor! because I never read the comics hehe
Do you think they'll return Loki back to his old form around the time of the movie's release?
I agree, Tom Hiddleston gave much to the character of Loki - like fangirls ;)
Please do one of these for Bane
Someone make a Game of Thrones story, but in Asgard.
i always liked loki. my first time reading him in a story was back when the new mutants first when to asgard. and i was just blown away by his cleverness and the character design and i would read thor just for loki and enchantress (those two had a great dynamic as they would always be planning to double cross each other). not to put down the actor or the movies but the movie loki was just too weak (power wise) as they focused more on his cunning and none of his magic save for a few illusions

Ladies love Loki.
i think you mean the black cat there lol
Loki is very well made character, though if he'd be ugly, he'd probably lose 90% of his "compassionate" fangirls, who cried for him and want to give him a hug.
Would you please tell me name of the song in the end of each video? Thanks.
hey grace have you seen the avngers movie? id love to hear about what you guys thought about it and how it stacked up soft of speak to what you guys were hopeing
hey grace what do you think of what they are doing with apocalypse in the wolverine and the x-men books now?
Its going to happen in thor dark world.
you must not read thor .
thats why they did that to him so he could become a villan
Where is this chick from? She has a unique accent.
Hey grace i was wondering do you like making your comiccause i have a few peole up my sleve
yes, the ladies DO like loki
I think it's safe to say while Thor is more powerful than Loki, Loki is smarter/clever him being the trickster god and all.
it fits his character but it seems like the whole villans becoming anti heros thing is over done
Loki cannot possibly be a Damian Wayne rip off. Loki has existed for far longer.
can you tell me what book contain loki? the tittle and how many book? i really want to buy them, ty
