Hi Margaret! I love your little apartment and I’m looking forward to your organizing and decorating videos. I’m amazed that I LOVE the yellow walls because I am not a big fan of yellow. It seems to make the room cozier. If it were me, I would definitely leave it yellow! ❤️
Hi Margaret, For now why don't you put your toiletries into oblong baskets and place them on those shelves in your bedroom. You can grab the one you need and just take it into the bathroom. It could work for bathroom storage for the time being.
Ah, yes. The joys of living in Portland (former West Ender). Finding a parking space, WINTER parking bans, & costly trash bags. On the plus side, there's fall, spring, summer, & beautiful branches when winter comes. In other words, TOTALLY worth any inconvenience. And there may be one or two great places to eat (LOL).
Ohhhh that's one of things i miss about going to Portland daily-- Trader Joe's and whole foods too!! Love the paint color, it adds a nice glow!! Loving the big windows for natural light!!❤
I liked the blue- very calming- but the yellow could be very energizing in the morning. Probably shows more yellow cause u painted over the blue without a primer. Maybe a coat of brighter white to tone down the yellow a little?
I'm surprised your landlord will let you paint. I'm a landlord and it's in the lease, tenants are not allowed to paint without written permission and agreement on the color. I think a corner unit, designed for showers/tubs, would work for the products and get them off the floor. It's such a nice apartment, love how spacious it is and the original features.
I’m very lucky with my landlord. He says it’s my home and I can decorate it however I want. I’m a great tenant and he trusts me to take good care of his property.
Love your apt do have a dollar tree provenance Rhode Island when I move into my new apartment thank God for dollar tree in general Dollar because I bought some of my utensils and a pizza pan there but I love your apartment
surprised the land lord let you paint the unit mine will not allow you do do any thing to your unit no paint no maintenance everything has to be done by his scab maintenance men who barely have the certifications they need to do the jobs

I love the paint, it's a kind of buttery color, very warm and cosy. I think a whiter color would look cheap, cold.

I ordered a storage rack to go above the toilet in the bathroom so I’m just waiting for that to come in!

You need Valspar Antique White for the walls. It's just slightly off white and looks lovely with white trim.

My suggestion is to center the rug between the dark wood borders. Yes, the paint looks yellow but the price was right!
Maybe put the bed on the opposite wall? Looking forward to your organizations journey.

Be careful drilling anything into that wall, there are probably water pipes in there.
