- One of my favorite fishing techniques for catching pre spawn bass is flipping - whether it's flipping docks, punching mats, pitching jigs - fishing for bass in heavy cover as they move up to spawn can lead to giant fish and be a fun technique for catching fish. In this video my friend @phytobedo break down some tips for catching late winter pre spawn bass in heavy cover flipping and pitching.

It's cool when you and bog bring someone else on the boat. You guys always help each other - well, sometimes bog not that much - bringing the fish on the boat and moving rods and lines out of the way. I dunno, I think it's cool and you always bring good people around.

Thanks for responding, and that video is awesome exactly 💯 what I was looking for. I'm coming up on my 69th birthday on April 11th. I grew up in East Tennessee fishing loca lclub tournaments, moved to Florida in 79 an started fishing saltwater for Trout, Reds and Shook. Hooked up with a great buddy about 25 years ago and went back to my roots. Not doing tournaments anymore but I still love bass fishing more than any other. But growing up fishing TVA lakes we never did any punching. My PB right now is a 7lb 9 ounce out of Orange lake. I would love to get a new PB before I get to old to do this anymore. So I figure if that's going to happen I need to learn how to punch and pitch. I have all the basic skills, gear, knots and tackle. I just need to get out there and start working it. Sorry for the long reply, just wanted you to know where I'm coming from. Thanks for doing straight up honest videos and take care of Bog.

I wouldn't let Bog lick the fish. Take a good look at the fish more closely here in Florida there are paracites on that are moving around on their body slime.
