Personally I love fragrances that need to be discovered, over fragrances that announce themselves. All I need is 6 to 8 hrs most of the time, but that’s me. Lol. The neroli is really minimal. If done with a light stroke it can make things interesting, I think. Maybe one day you’ll go on vacation where a Celine boutique is located. I know two in New York and one in Chicago. Think another in Florida.
A unisex fragrance is certainly the right way to go when it comes to a perfume named after the rebel poet. I also get the lavender theme. Who knows, Arthur Rimbaud might well have been amongst those men who took to wearing Jicky when it was released in 1889. In the end it had been formulated with the influence (if not entirely) by another young prodigy of the time, and it certainly broke traditional boundaries which must have appealed to the poet. The point I personally struggle with, from the reviews I have had access to so far, is that it does not seem edgy or bold in any way, but rather pleasant. If one uses a famous name like that of Rimbaud I would expect that one really honours that personality and does not simply go for the most closely related cliche, for what probably are sales purposes only.

It’ll remind you of it. Same category, but I find it to be it’s own thing. Very dry, powdery, Elegant and unisex. While the Caron seems more masculine and aromatic.
