Funny you showed the scene from 'Star Trek 4' where Scotty shown 'inventing' transparent aluminum as I just watched a TH-cam video showing that it's now *real!* Also, I think it was just last month, MARVEL's 'Shang Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings' did some shooting in SF. From what I saw on the news there was a major chase scene involving a MUNI bus downtown and on a much tamer note some exterior stuff shot on Clement st. in the inner Richmond. It's also the very first super-hero movie with an Asian guy as the main character!

They shot some stuff in the inner Richmond but in one really telling shot what's supposed to be 5th and Clement is obviously someplace in Canada since the real location doesn't have streets as wide nor does it have 'Asian' styled lamp posts and signs.

Sorry! In an attempt to keep the video to a decent length, I had to pick only one movie from each genre/era and it came down to Dirty Harry vs Bullitt. Dirty Harry just had a bigger fan base.

I know right?? BUT I didn't want to make it too 60s/70s heavy AND I covered the same car chase locations in my first video with the Venom motorcycle chase so I ended up with Dirty Harry. You are right that it deserves some acknowledgement in this series so perhaps a fifth episode???
