I just love the way nothing has to so super animated so you can see how the wind hits each crease in the clothes to be good. A simple swinin' tail on the way to The Jungles Fine Food is all that's needed to make a lion fantastic :) 50's cartoons were amazing
This classic episode...I like that:). I don't know what they used Goofy classic theme music - but that's perfect!! Goofy classic theme music is good for Lion episodes of Classic Disney special:)
oh wow, i havent seen this cartoon like ever!! why isnt disney making these kind of awsome cartoons anymore? are the makers of these genius retired or something?
@Weekist I think the lion is part of an allegory on the black man, who currently lives in the great zoo that is the USA. Not exactly a natural habitat, either
Fact that citizens were more disturbed and scared by a lion in a suit trying to fit into society than the fact that there is an actual wild lion rampaging trough the cuty Moral of the story: dont try to be different, be yourself, beacuse lion in a suit is just freaky
@Christionjh not really 'racist' it was a portrayal of a different culture. If there was a cartoon with lip liped, big boobed, high maintenance white women running around Orange County, would that be racist ?
@rickardo004 I don't ever recall high-maintainence white women from the OC being employed as a harmful stereotype by an oppressive majority who wanted to use such images to convince people that these white women should stay segregated. In fact, I do recall many big-lipped stereotypical portrayals of people being employed for that very purpose, but they weren't white. And I've never seen a black man with big, worm-like lips that overtake half of his face. "Portrayal of another culture" my foot.
Thanks for the In-Sync copy of this cartoon! The animation reminds me of Eastern European cartoons of the 1950’s-1970’s with the characters’ movement.
