  • The revitalization of Bristol’s The Generator co-working space by MoreySmith caught the attention of our FRAME Awards 2022 Grand Jury for its sustainable reuse approach.
MoreySmith took on the refurbishment of Bristol’s The Generator co-working space, located in a historic waterside Grade II-listed building. Covering six floors, the office includes dedicated offices, private desks, event spaces, a member’s lounge and an on-site café. The designers opted to keep the core structure and many original features of the site intact, while introducing new interior furnishings and fittings inspired by the Victorian architecture. Collaborations with sustainable furniture designers and manufacturers have put the project on track to achieve a BREAAM Very Good rating. Public areas encourage interactions between members of various teams. Works from local artists span the interiors, a nod to the wider community.
