In 1997 a miserable Christian lady came to Swami. She had breast cancer. She had tried all kind of allopathic and Homiopathic. Nothing has changed Her doctors have told to go home and take rest . Her death was certain. Somehow she has learned that there is a miracle man in puttaparthy. So many have told her about his miracles. It was her last hope. She came to Puttaparthy sobbing with tearful eyes she has prayed to Sai to cure her. At that Time I was there with my mother. I saw Swami went and stand in front of her. She caught lower part of Swami 's robe and cried. She told that as soon as when she caught the robe of Swami she felt like an elecrltric current enter in to her body and moving it every part of the body.. She could not bear it. She said that she was buring like she caught a fire. She stood up and start crying and twisting her body. That's all. After all Swami has sent her message that your cancer is cancelled.
I was also in close proximity with a paramahamsa : I too can speak about miracles that used to happen around him and the extra phenomenal experiences that I had with his blessings and spiritual practices : The bottom line is, one has to work for one's living as long as one on is in this world ; no God will come and feed you ! Faith in God is nothing but faith in yourself and that helps you to face life in all its perplexities ; our problem is we want to be something other than what we are ; we want miracles and sensationalism and we are happy to listen to someone else's experience ; unless it is in our own experience, how does it matter ? throw away all the crutches and walk like a man, rising and falling, suffering and enjoying and whatever else the nature may throw at you, only then can one be free ; God is your own self, self is all and for want of a better word, you can call this entity God ; God will not alter the course of your life other than whatever you have chosen for yourself ; it is you who is answering your own prayers ! If Baba is great, so can you be and so you must be !
