I just realized, in Sayaka’s transformation, the only character to actually “catch” her is Kyoko because Kyo is the only one who actually understands the pain she went through 😭
Meanwhile, Homura just bags Sayaka and tosses her to Kyoko. Throwing her "friend" away like trash... but in a way that puts her right in Kyoko's arms. Interesting way of showing that Homura becoming a "devil" is really just an act she's putting on, a way to push everyone away out of a self-loathing belief that she doesn't deserve friendship while at the same time protecting the people she cares about.
@MrOmegatronic I also think that it represents how homura wants to snap sayaka in the reality of things or wake her up. While kyoko reprints her support and understanding mental and wants sayaka to be more open minded about certain situations.

actually both do show them as adults, adult madoka is the one descending from the sky at 0:21 and homura's is the one that we see during the split screen part (i wont blame you for not noticing that one, she looks VERY similar to her kid shelf)

I dunno if this is intentional, but i noticed the quartet (and bebe) transformation scene where you touch the screen to continue all had interesting visuals Mami - you touch the screen just as Mami is touching the screen too, almost as if the scene we saw before that was a "mirror" to her Sayaka- us touching the screen literally caused the water splash , pulling her out of the water Kyoko- touching the screen made it seems like we're also one of the shadow hands reaching for her Homura-we pressed on to make the time move again after the video seemingly buffering Bebe-made it seems like we're the one doing the "choosing"
It’s actually I think so tragic, I heard this from a video and I truly agree, that in Homuras 2nd transformation, to see her falling back and the frames of Madoka getting further and further away is such jarring imagery insinuating that no matter how much she goes back, she will never save Madoka.
