- Home G-Scale Train Run With 6 - Bachmann and Aristocraft Dash 9's Pulling 22 Long Mixed Freight Cars On 5-27-24! I figured out my power problem and my train ran great today on bright sunny, humid morning!
What a magnificent run and thanks for showing the amps at the end, I'll definitely have to try this one for sure 😎👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks! I thought that amp check video might come in handy! Now I need more track and more rail clamps so I can add more freight cars!
Very Cool.! Awesome Southern Pacific Auto Rack and the Milwaukee Road Boxcar.! Super BIG 👍
Thanks! Those auto racks are so cool and my friend Dave gave me the Milwaukee boxcar which is also super cool!
Hello Ronald, fantastic these six SD Dash 9 locomotives and this very nice long train.👍👍❤❤ That would be a train for my garden railway.😂 A great video, thanks for showing it and warm greetings to you and your family. wolfgang
Although I'm running track power it operated very well! It would look awesome on your layout through your garden! Thanks for the great comment!
Noooo, now I want G-Scale. I've already got an entire room of HO 🤣🤣
Get G-Scale and you'll need an even bigger room! It's so worth it! Good luck in your decision! LOL
I've got over 40K in G scale. Mostly locomotives and some rare pre- Aristocraft, REA locos and cars. Started with the LGB Blue train, and it became an addiction.
Mine started with O and HO, then N scale and then bought my first Aristocraft B&O FA that became an obsession that has never ended! What a great addiction!
So awesome!
Thank you! Thank you for watching!
Awesome super looks real
Thank you! And I'm not done expanding it yet! :)
Nice set up
Thanks Robbie! I'll be adding more eventually with your help! :)
I absolutely love this loop I'm trying to do the same thing. I finally got some rolling stock just need some straight track and a transformer. Keep up the good content I just subscribe.
Welcome to my channel! I hope to have another driveway run soon but my Saturdays are kinds messed up and it's been in the mid 90's here lately! I have more track to use and I'm really looking forward to another run! Thank you for watching!
The coupler @ 3:51 is barely touching!
You're right, I just didn't wrap tape around it like I did for the last hopper! The hopper couplers are so much higher then the other freight car body mounts! It's on my to do list to figure out how to lower the hopper couplers somehow!

The offset couplers should do the trick
www.ebay.com/itm/175423810754?
Some of them are higher than others you should look into that.

Offset couplers can do the trick.

If you already see a comment of mine, disregard this one.
How big of a loop is that? Really cool
I'm sorry for asking, but what are those additional wires for?
I'm about to start my build, and I'm worried about track power. I haven't picked out a locomotive yet. However, I purchased the USA TRACK 10 power amp, and after reading the comments, it seems like 10 amps may not be enough. I plan to use both my front and back yard.
In the beginning of testing, I had some problems and discovered that I only needed one set as you can see later on in the video! 10amp may be ok because as you can see with six dash nines it didn't pull too much. Good luck!
I bet your power supply is crying lol
Not really, at the end of the video I show my power supply putting out 15 volts and around 8 amps! Plenty of room for more power!
@@Asylum_GraphicsMy Lionel 4 motor diesel draws 10 amps by itself but will pull over 40 cars.
That's what I/m going to do when I get more track, I would love to run all my freight cars which is over 100 pieces but not sure how long that track will be! LOL
What is the radius of your curves?? Maybe 8' or 10'?
They are 12' radius curves and lots of straight track with more to come!
Wow that is great but why are you running that NS Power unit backwards? They are the only class 1 that runs their engines "long hood" rather than "short hood."
I'm not sure I understand because it is going forward, all the dash-9's have the same body style from Aristocraft!
@thomasmahoney3739 If you look when it gos by at 3:08 there is a little "F" to the right of the steps, RR use that to indicate the normal front end of a locomotive. NS has not run long hood forward in a few years
Hook up a skateboard and ride like shoestring.
Sounds like fun but maybe painful on the way down!
Wow 6 dash 9 only using around 8 amps? Wow not bad guessing my 15amp bridge works will do fine with 4 dash 9
I've ran 15amp with four nines' before and it worked fine! You a\shouldn't have a problem and enjoy those nines like I do!!!
