I live in a Hurricane area. And yes often they will film & zoom in on the worse looking areas.
Hurricanes are actually not scary to stand outside.. my opinion.. it's scarier being inside and not knowing.
It has a surreal feeling.
they are never outside during the most intense times and rarely around the eyewall area. Ive been outside during many hurricanes and never felt unsteady unless it was the booze😂. Just dont be dumb your house walls will shield alot and evacuate if storm surge will affect you.
I’d take my chances walking through a hurricane than walking to the corner store for “blunts” in Chicago 🤷🏿♂️

Very brave people, however, the people who had the chance to leave, but chose to ride the storm out, betcha won't do that again, won't you?I would feel sorry for the arrogance, but why feel sorry for them when they were warned it was going to be a category 3 or 4, but chose stupidity over their lives? I truly hate that all you media channels put a person out in a hurricane to report. We all know what hurricanes look like…he can report NOT outside in it. It’s stupid. If you really want to sensationalize things, you should have put someone in the midst of the wildfires in Maui to report what a fire looks like. It’s equally stupid.

I'm in Fort Myers. What we had here wasn't much. We got your average summer thunderstorms. Flooding to those areas and roads that often are flooded during rainy season. No biggie here for which I'm thankful. We're still dealing with remaining damage from Ian. It's still raining sporadically. I will be working tonight driving delivery. I stayed home last night because of warnings of dire conditions which never materialized. Again I'm thankful for that. It just shows though, that meteorology is more a guessing game than science. Weather forecasts in this area are almost never right.

He's not making any sense, CAT 3 is over 45 mph. He's standing outside when first responders are waiting for less stronger wins. Something is not making sense , but again in the pass they were living on their reports

So, it petered out. Quickly went from 4 to 1. While glad it wasn’t as fearsome as predicted, the news needs to stop hyping up these storms.
They say evacuate but for some I have nowhere to evaluate to, and no family, or friend's what do you do?
