It's like a card game that requires so little skill and so much rng. At least in other card games you can skill your way to a win but Hearthstone you just gotta strap in and take your rng raping

Honestly, it seems Hearthstone in general has just been to RNG focused for to long. I feel like it really is going to have to change soon or the game is just gonna give way to something more substantial
It might be but I think it's just instead a very different meta.
@@alexzander7629 you are correct, rng is a skill equalizer and is meant to help keep less serious/skilled players interested in the game, but it ultimately accomplishes the feeling you described in most of the playerbase
I agree, a lot of the newer cards are super RNG based. You win or lose based of what you get from cards, what you roll for hero power, etc. Academic Espionage, the random generation in mage, the switching of hero powers for Dr.Boom etc
the thing is though, even if they made the cards way less rng based to the point of nill , the matchups themselves are so polarized that it then just becomes opponent based rng like a big game of rock paper scissors. And that's not even getting into draw rng and tech cards rng etc...

i've just played the same mirror match for 41 turns and i won with mecha'thun from omega assemble, i got so tense and mad during that game due to all the rng fucking me up good, that it was a relief when it ended. The way I started to get rid of my hand to play mechathun and use his own minions to kill it made that game fun to me in the end, but i'm not touching that deck again in quite some time.

I feel ya Toast - just lost a mirror-ish game yesterday that most of the time would go to turn timer (as we were both running Archivist + replay), due to how ridiculous his Delivery Drone + Elisiana RNG was compared to mine.
It's a very salty feeling when you lose a game that seems to be a certainty - even if that certainty is 'tie'.
Aww...that's unfortunate, that last delivery drone will give you mechathun..

He’s not complaining because control warrior exists, he was simply saying that it’s annoying to play against as a control warrior himself and it’s going to take a while. This specific game had nothing to do with him playing against a control warrior, the problem was that it was extremely unfair even when he played almost perfectly. If he was playing a braindead deck, made two misplays every turn, and still won the game then you can call him a problem but until that day comes (which it never will) please stop making comments like this

When looking at standart I get more excited about the stuff that rotates out than anything that comes in. Been playing mostly wild since formats were introduced, although I occasionally considered switching, if they stop adding more bullshit to standart. Closer to throwing the game off my PC now the recent days.
