there's no "I love you" in the lyrics, yet this is like the most romantic song ever :-')
"On my way" comes before "I love you". hehe!
I feel like this song can be interpreted in so many ways. The beginning sounds like a regretful mom/dad who s missed all the important milestones of their kid, and wants the kid to know they re gonna be there soon, that they re on their way to ease the pain.
It could also be interpreted from the side of a long distance lover who says they re gonna be there in person with their gf/bf really soon
Or even from the perspective of someone who secretly loves a girl/guy and see their lover being crushed/torn apart by other relationships, but cant muster the courage to go up to them and ask them out.
it is such a beautiful song!
I interpreted it like this: It's a boy and girl who were destined for each other, but well, you don't usually get born together. So before they reach each other a lot happens but no matter what happens, he's on his way to finding her.
it may also mean that Alejandro is getting married soon? I'm sad :(
