Coleridge experiences this frosty solitude and, within it, experiences the wandering of his mind into moments of his life that reflect his immediate world. He becomes conscious that the way in which he reflects upon the world before him and these other moments, further reflect a broader experience from life generally. He embraces a Wordsworthian appreciation of nature in this moment.
He is with his babe. He therefore considers how his life and world have shaped him and his capacity for experience. He wishes for his babe to have a life more informed by nature and who would thereby experience joy in the richness of every moment, regardless of season.
However, there is an underlying irony to this, as his special moment with the frost at midnight and the ecstasy that arises from it obviously comes from his particular appreciation driven by his own character, which is the base of his poetic experience and expression.
So, while Coleridge wishes for a more beautiful and rich experience for his babe, he still cherishes the uniqueness of his own experience.

Delighted that this poem is being aired. However, the poem requires a more ecstatic and emotive reading. Part of its drive is concerned with the overawed experience that springs from this quiet, solitude of a frozen winter night.
