I like how this song presents a more complex and realistic story than most break up song. Usually you have the 2 types of either "fuck you good bye" and "sorry come back". This is more complex in that they both accept fault for what happened and that they have their own issues. By the end as the listener thinking about it you don't have a clear idea of if they should get back together or move on just like how you feel at the end of a real break up.
Or the rare possibility of being friends?
