Nunchhora Punji’s Nature and Life II নূনছড়া পুঁঞ্জির প্রকৃতি ও জীবন

বাংলাদেশের সিলেট বিভাগের কুলাউড়া উপজেলার কর্মধা ইউনিয়নে অবস্থিত নূনছড়া পুঁঞ্জি। যেখানে পাহাড়ের উপর খাসিয়া জনগোষ্ঠীর বসবাস। পাহাড়ের পরিবেশ ও প্রকৃতি সত্যিই অনেক সুন্দর ও মনোরম। খাসিয়া জনগণ অতি সাধারণ এক জীবনযাপন করছেন। পাহাড়ী বা পুঁঞ্জির প্রকৃতি অত্যন্ত সুন্দর হলেও সেখানে বসবাস/জীবনযাপন করা অত্যন্ত কঠিন বা কষ্টের। পান চাষ (জুমচাষ) করাই সেখানকার প্রধান পেশা। এর উপর নির্ভর করেই তাদের জীবন চলছে। বর্তমান আধুনিক প্রযুক্তির ছোঁয়া বা সুযোগ-সুবিধা সেখানে নেই বললেই চলে। পুঁঞ্জির জনগণের আন্তরিকতা, অতি সহজ-সরল জীবনযাপন এবং পাশাপাশি কঠিন পরিশ্রমী জীবনযাপন আমার তাদের প্রতি সম্মান আরো বেশি বৃদ্ধি করে দিয়েছে।
Nunchhora Punji is located in Karmadha Union of Kulaura Upazila of Sylhet Division of Bangladesh. Where the Khasia people/community live on the hill. The environment and nature of the hill is really beautiful. Khasia people lead a very simple life. Although the nature of Hills or Punji is very beautiful, it is very difficult to live there. Betel cultivation (jumchash) is the main occupation there. Their lives depend on it. There is no touch or facilities of current modern technology. The sincerity of the people of Punji, their very simple living and also their hard-working life has increased my respect for them even more.
