Hope feels threatened by Eliza, thinking she is taking Sam away from her . She thinks if nobody turns up to the party, Sam will think Eliza is a loser, then not want to be Eliza's friend anymore , then she will have Sam back to herself . Some times just because someone appears to be a 'bitch,' stop and think WHY people do things. There is always a REASON. I am not saying what she did is OK, It is NOT, BUT shoot, there are 2 sides to each story.
Just read she starts another fire because she is upset with Eliza. She is angry and all that fire bubbles up and she uses that fire inside her to make REAL ones. Also, sorry to spoil this for anyone. Also, I don't think needed way more help when she did what she did with Alina, and then maybe she would'nt be this too far damaged. She got off way too lightly at court after lighting the cot.
