2:01 The way her expression changes from an awkward smile to heartbroken shock is so painful to watch... Anna Torv is amazing, hands down. She deserved an Emmy for this whole episode. She can portray Olivia's complex character so well, and this scene proves it.
Show was critically acclaimed but I feel the actors were very under appreciated and overlooked because of the "sci-fi" stigma. Great scene...I miss the show
I just felt so sorry for Olivia here. I could just see her smile fading as Peter continued talking. I think it's still as bad to hide something like this. Even if Peter didn't say anything he would always know and they couldn't be truely happy together. No secrets. Though I still feel bad for Olivia, no one deserves that kind of news.
@MayBrainLee1 "So, no, Walter and Olivia are just as obsessed with them as I am" And now you're seeing Walter as Noble, and Olivia as Torv, and neither as Walter and Olivia. Nice.
@commitedCSI i completley agree with you, it cant just be about one of them the whole way through, they are both amazing actors and work good together. fringe is the best show :D
Remember when Peter where with Fauxliva and he said: "All great love stories ends in tragedy" I really don't hope thats true! :(.. if U know what I mean :(
@darkntwisty05 I completely agree. That's why the final scene between Peter and Olivia, as hard as it was, was absolutely necessary. And Peter handled it correctly by sitting there, not saying anything (except his lonely "I'm sorry") and letting Olivia say what she needed to say. When Olivia gets her time and space she'll come to once again accept her love of Peter and realize that he loves her too.
@MayBrainLee1 Nooo not under my watch. No one should hate anyone right now. Their relationship needs time. Time's the only thing that'll heal everything. We all know they love each other -- they both know that as well, this is just a rough moment that they need to -- and will get through.
@commitedCSI I honestly think that fans blame Peter, because even if he didn't make it on purpose (tricked by Bolivia), Fringe fans see that Olvia is broken now, and for a while, and it ruins all there chances to get together soon, we blame Peter for delaying what all the fans are looking for them together.
Have u noticed that the first question she asked after she realised P and Altliv were together was: "Does everybody know"? Kinda strange question to go with after such revelations methinks.
@TammyBristow1 I actually kind of agree with you on that one. But I don't know what other alternative storylines they had for these two to go with so I don't blame the writers. I mean we all know that if a couple gets together it would ruin the show. Though us fans want to see it happen. So I like how they gave us some info on their relationship like how they really feel about each other. Peter wasn't completely dumb. He realised some changes. [cont... in next comment :D]
@MayBrainLee1 no one is bashing Joshua Jackson...although it's very apparent that you're fanaticism for him is obscuring your ability to truly see the show for what it is.
@TammyBristow1 [it was a mistake for Peter to say his relationship with Alt. Olivia was less intense. He made it sound like a good thing.] What I'm trying to say is I don't think it's about Olivia's or Peter's storyline. I think it's more them together, and it's her trying to come to grips with Bolivia taking over her life. I get Olivia and how she feels but, if Olivia and Peter were so intense, then he should of realised who Alt. Olivia really was after he realised something was different.
@MayBrainLee1 there were accolades for him in Entrada. He somewhat redeemed himself. By the way, you said "the same can be said for Walter and Olivia fans, ok?" to an earlier comment of mine. But that's just it: Walter and Olivia fans, not John Noble and Anna Torv fans. To the "walter and olivia fans," it's about the story, the characters, and the universe, not about one person. To you, it's about Joshua Jackson, and none of the above. You see Peter as Jackson, not Peter.
In the end scene of the pilot, Nina Sharp gave orders to question Agent John Scott who had just died. Wasn't Scott really a good guy who and Olivia really loved each other? So, could somehow Scott be reanimated somehow through the research now known from Barrett in "Marionette." Peter does say something like "wow, reanimation can be done after all" I hope Peter and Olivia do get back together, instead of possibly John Scott & Olivia.
@MayBrainLee1 The only hating that's done is by Peter @ Alt-Livia. The glare and stare down @ her @ penn station and unwillingness to lower his gun. Now, that's hate. The Fringe writers are so awesome @ creating these story lines. On the other hand, Fox is so NOT AWESOME by putting the show on break until late january.
i think Peter handled this badly, "much quicker w a smile" and he smiled, asshole like he was thinking about Fauxlivia, "less intense" negative, he should of said something like i thought u where happier because of us, that i think is what he meant but he just cut lil olivia to the quick w, his sloppy word choice.
peter, its just not the way going about telling her about this leading with all the stuff you liked about altLiv, you should lead with missing real liv!
@jerne2000 yea...totally hatin the fact that he smiled as if thinkin about fauxlivia...gahh..totally not what he shud have done..sincere would've been better....gahhh
i don't know whether it was the acting or the writing of this episode but peter kind of came off as an asshole. i love him but he seemed very nonchalant about the whole situation. and he was a bit mean in this scene. "quicker with a smile?" i thought, you're trying to tell this girl that you slept with her double and THAT'S how you decide to approach it? by telling her that her double was more fun?!
@MayBrainLee1 fanaticism of any kind is unhealthy. moderation. Which is why I disagree with the "Peter bashers" and the "Peter hate," as you so...passionately...put it.

Anna Torv should've won an Emmy for this episode!!!
I love his hesitation... Ouch, gr8 scene thanks for uploading
"It's fine,we're good" like hell!!!

"So I came back for you. For us."
:'( Oh sweet lord I'm gonna die before Jan. 21.

@MayBrainLee1 you're a hypocrite.
