Love the pattern. This isn't a tutorial for beginners but will keep watching all the different patterns you have on your channel before getting started on knitting. I learned it briefly growing up, but not the way I wanted or would have loved to continue knitting all the time but your channel is giving me so much encouragement to learn it now.
Marly!!!! Another project to add to the list!!! I think this will be a perfect project to work for a Christmas gift for my husband!!!! Size 15 needles and squishy yarn, what's not to love????? ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for putting out this video, I've only been knitting for 2 yrs. You video along with the pattern helped me overcome the fear of working with cable
Lovely and very easy.your methods of instruction is beautiful.ofcours your shawl which you are wearing is also beautiful .Must share this pattern also.
Hi Marly! I have a question.... I want to make it bigger but have only been knitting for a few months. If the cast on stitches are 105 then what would be multiple count be? So is it 10 + 5 stitches??
Beautiful! Still learning to knit so might not want to tackle a throw just yet, but found this yarn at my local Walmart and was just waiting for you to do something spectacular with it - no disappointment here! Maybe something in a crochet soon????? I'd definitely "smash that 'like' button"
Just picked out the best color to make this for my livingroom! Thanks again for all these great tutes and inspo! ❤😊👍 Smashed that like button as hard as I dare without breaking my screen! 😉
Hello! I am new to knitting but have some basic knitting knowledge! Really love this video as well as this pattern! Thank you for making this guide it is super useful and I love it! I do have a tiny question though! I want to make it longer in terms of width so I would cast more than 105 casts, but I am not too sure what is the number of casts I should be adding, would you be able to help me with this? I assume that I should be adding sets of 30 for the pattern?
I see how you knit and purl without crossing the yarn over when you switch from one stitch to the other. Do you have a beginner turior so I can learn how to knit like you.
This is lovely. It looks squishy! I better finish a blanket so I can start a new one. Can you make it larger? What is the stitch repeat? Thanks for the nice tutorials!
So I’ve been following the pattern row-by-row and I do not believe that I will be able to fit in 13 repetitions of the Rows 3-14 pattern repeat. I purchased the recommended 6 skeins and am using a US 15 needle. Would you recommend that I finish the throw early or try to find a skein in a store that looks as close as possible to the dye lot that I have?
Originally the yarn came in 5oz balls. It is now 8 oz. so you will have to do the math. 6*5=30 oz. 30/8=3.75 oz. so you need 4 balls of the larger size.
This is such a wonderful blanket! I’m currently working on some projects and will absolutely be adding this to my project list. Btw, your wrap is gorgeous, any chance we can get a pattern for it?
I appreciate the feedback. I try and teach each of the patterns to the skill level that the pattern is rated and at the same time I need to make sure that beginners can accomplish the pattern as well as advanced knitters :-)
You will work two sts in pattern, have the first stitch jump over the second stitch, then work the next stitch on pattern, have the old stitch jump the new stitch. So on and so on.
Thank you, excellent tutorial.
Love your scarf pattern, would make a lovely throw.
Thx Marly! What a fun pattern. My first braided cables. Half way thru my blanket and I just luv it !

This is gorgeous! I would love if you did a tutorial for the Slouchy Socks pattern using this yarn.

Marly where did you find stitch markers to fit your size needles?
I made my own. There is a video to show you how here on my channel.

If the throw is larger enough for you as is then I would finish. If you want more to it then I would find another skein :) I hope that helps.
Love this and want to try it so badly but the link for the pattern isn't working😭😭😭
The RedHeart website is down. Try again soon. Sorry.
Does it till after wash?
Marly in the pattern it says 6 skeins of 5 oz. but the skeins i find are of 8 ozs. Which one is it?
Originally the yarn came in 5oz balls. It is now 8 oz. so you will have to do the math. 6*5=30 oz. 30/8=3.75 oz. so you need 4 balls of the larger size.
Marly thank you. I appreciate your help, i want to do the throw for my niece as a gift it is gorgeous but with that yarn in specific. Thanks again.
Lindo amei 😍😍😍😘😘
Trying to do this pattern my ribbing is so loose? Can you help? I’ve tried so many times.. thanks..
You need to pull the 1st purl stitch after the knit st snug. That should help
The video title caught my attention because of the word "hygge". It actually means cosiness in danish. :D
Yes it does :) it’s also a new yarn name from Red Heart.
This is such a wonderful blanket! I’m currently working on some projects and will absolutely be adding this to my project list.
Btw, your wrap is gorgeous, any chance we can get a pattern for it?
Thank you. The pattern and video will be posted later this month here on the channel.
Marly Bird Thanks for the reply, I’m so looking forward to it!

Omg i wish the was more advanced. Please do an intermediate video getting straight to the pattern
I appreciate the feedback. I try and teach each of the patterns to the skill level that the pattern is rated and at the same time I need to make sure that beginners can accomplish the pattern as well as advanced knitters :-)
How do you bind off in pattern?
You will work two sts in pattern, have the first stitch jump over the second stitch, then work the next stitch on pattern, have the old stitch jump the new stitch. So on and so on.
That yarn looks awesome but I feel like the cables get lost in the fuzz.
The pattern reminds me of a throw I saw at Pottery Barn. I think with a pattern like this it is more about the feel of the yarn than stand out cables.
How many cables are there. I don’t want to count 175 rows
I do not have the sample to count the cables.
I love the video, very easy to follow, I would also like to get the pattern for your wrap.
Thank you. The pattern for the wrap and a video will be posted on here later this month.
