Love that you reached for the "Edgy" amp - that's been a favourite of mine too! What are some of your other top picks from their list? Would be curious to know, since you have a good ear for that. Thanks for the video! I am deciding between a simple starter amp or just using my stereo and headphones hooked up to my pc and a virtual amp and I guess the latter will be my choice!
I’m pretty sure this amp sim covers a lot of people need. But$30 for an amp sim package of +10 years ago is not a steal. It is what it’s worth compared with newest versions like Bias FX2, Guitar Rig 6 and Neural DSP.

Thanks for the video. Many high gain amps in GTR sound too harsh for me. I put NadIR with some cab model after the GTR and it sounds better now.

The stompboxes section, used separated, with a more updated amp sim, for me still sounds great

yes, if im not wrong actually you can run standalone without DAW (ableton, fl, ect)
If you put all the stompbox effects before the amp, would it be sounded the same?.. Btw great vid as always Paul.. Cheers frm indonesia
Hi Boni. It wouldn’t, that way you’ll be running a reverb into the amp and thus overdriving the reverb.

I find the amp sound horrible to be honest. S-Gear sounds much better to my ears. So 30 $ for a sound I don't like is not a bargain... ;-)
