This particular level is based on the real events of Air Force Combat Controlman John Chapman who’s awarded the Medal of Honor for his courageous actions and sacrifice saving the lives of his Seal Team and a Ranger QRF (total of 23 people). All of it was caught on drone camera and the footage is on YT.
The current narrative of Chapman's story is that he got left behind by the SEALs that he was with. Its kinda ironic now that his story as a Airforce JTAC is now being portrayed by SEALs in the game. Maybe the game developers were given a different version of the story when they were making the game in 2010.
@@juki009 Probably just artistic liberties, that's all. Real life stories get changed a little for the sake of making a product like a game or a movie feel smoother/better and or make more sense for a wider audience. It's sort of a grey area of it being on purpose but for the game's sake
From what I research they inserted on the “X” which was not what they were supposed to do and for years the US Navy tried to cover up what John Chapman did during the battle of Takur Ghar. The ground force commander at the time Timothy G. Szymanski decided to send more people to the top of the mountain what the hornets nest was.
I completely agree with you! ‘Medal of Honor’ has given us countless hours of enjoyment. A remake would be a fantastic way to relive those moments. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
It realy was a great game with proper story telling and those missions were all fun and the fact you can use semi or full auto was also a nice touch as over time I'd run semi auto more and not burn through so many magazines
This game is legendary to those that played it. It’s such a shame the mainstream media didn’t like it being so gritty, saying it “killed the franchise”. I fully believe it was a smear campaign against the franchise.
It’s always interesting to hear different perspectives on games like Medal of Honor 2010. While it’s true that the game received mixed reviews, many players, like you, found it to be a legendary experience. The grittiness and realism are indeed some of the aspects that set it apart. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and keeping the spirit of the game alive!
Medal of Honor 2010 is the best military story campaign ever delivered. The only fps game story that focused on feelings and the soldier's fate. I cried in the final scene when i first played it. This is the game that reminds you of sacrifices and hardships soldiers have to go through, not just being rambo killing machines. This game SP deserves a remaster.
Your words truly capture the essence of Medal of Honor 2010. It’s not just a game, but a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of soldiers. The emotional depth of the story is indeed unparalleled in the FPS genre. The final scene was indeed moving and left a lasting impact on many of us. A remaster would certainly do justice to this masterpiece❤️. Let’s hope it happens soon!
Thank you for your comment! I completely agree with you. Medal of Honor 2010 really set a high standard for realism in its time. A remake for modern consoles would indeed be fantastic. It’s great to see that there are others who appreciate this classic as much as I do!
I wish COD was actually based on real events and real locations instead of made up ones…. Sorry I love history that’s why my dad and I loved the original Medal Of Honors.
Thanks for your comment! I agree, the historical accuracy in Medal of Honor adds depth. While COD often uses fictional settings, it does have its own unique appeal. Both games offer diverse experiences.
I keep reminded of the 2012 Medal Of Honor warfighter which is the continuance of the 2010 Medal Of Honor where in some missions they actually take it from a real life scenario that they just put "Based on real life events" in the mission start.
Agree! Medal of Honor 2010 is a truly impressive game that captures the atmosphere of war and the events of Operation Anaconda well. Glory and honor to all fighters against terrorism!
I completely agree with you! Medal Of Honour 2010 was indeed a remarkable experience. The online gameplay was thrilling and kept us on the edge of our seats. A remaster would definitely bring back those exciting moments. Let’s hope for the best!
@@GameGridChannel I never got bored of playing it. The whole execution of the game was beautifully done. It kills me that warfighter didn't get the same effort and energy it deserved.
Indeed, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The way Medal of Honor 2010 was crafted made it a joy to play. It’s widely felt that Warfighter didn’t quite capture that same essence. And truly, no game has been able to match the unique vibe that Medal of Honor 2010 gave us. It had a charm of its own that keeps us coming back for more.
@@GameGridChannel exactly. The only game that comes close imo was Battlefield 3. There was so much hype for that game. Not a fan of 2042 or whatever it's called. I think they killed it when they cut out the campaign and focused on futuristic warfare. Battlefield also had so much potential.... I hope one day they take another look at medal of honor 2010. They owe it to us 😭
Jumping out of a bird in full kit is crazy. I once fell over a high wall in full kit cuz my boots were soaked in mud and ngl that shit hurt i was stunned for like 5 seconds. But I wish EA would bring this game back or remaster it.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s incredible to hear from someone who understands the real-life challenges that this game tries to depict. I completely agree with you, a remastered version of Medal of Honor 2010 would be amazing. Let’s hope EA considers it!
Thank you for your amazing feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the Medal of Honor. It’s feedback like yours that motivates us to keep creating engaging and immersive gameplay experiences. Stay tuned for more exciting missions!
@@GameGridChannel the apache mission is literally the best helicopter mission in the history of gaming. Call of duty has spent years and fail trying to accomplish what this game has accomplished. What sets this game apart for me. Is that it honors one of countries great heros. A man who gave his life for our freedom and fellow soilders. While call of duty focuses on stupid downloads and update on coloful cats and pointless avatars. If a company takes the time to create another game such as this. In fine detail as medal of has always had. It will be more then a game. But an epic experience.
Thank you for your insightful comment. I completely agree with you. The Apache mission truly stands out in its depiction of heroism and sacrifice. It’s refreshing to see a game that focuses on honoring our heroes rather than superficial updates. Your words have perfectly captured the essence of what makes this game more than just a game, but an epic experience. Let’s hope more game developers take inspiration from this and create meaningful and immersive experiences. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.

You are absolutely right, Panther did warn them about the hot LZ. It’s those intense moments that make Medal of Honor 2010 such a memorable game. Stay tuned for more gameplay!
This mission was OP, I LITERALLY got scared once I heard Panther advising us to not land and then getting whacked by the RPG. It was crazy and I burned through so much ammo that I thought I was gonna die there.
Wow, your comment really brings back the intensity of that mission! It’s moments like these that make ‘Medal of Honor’ such an unforgettable experience. I’m glad you made it through despite the ammo situation. Thanks for sharing your experience and stay tuned for more thrilling gameplay videos!
@@GameGridChannel this mission is very close to home as a history enthusiast and reading about vets and their experience in combat is nothing compared to experiencing first hand near death and low ammo counts.

I'm inclined to agree with you, but with the current state of gaming they'd neuter the story and the gameplay would be half-baked

I just played it again on my ps3 after since the release of ps 4 & 5. One very good game.
The book called The Outpost chronicles John Chapman and some of these events...the loss of the SEALS was Operation Red Wing
This was based on operation Anaconda and the assault of ShiaKuht valley in 2002
Red wings was the lone survivor incident with Marcus Littrell this is about the Battle or Takur Ghat or “Roberts ridge”
