  • God is always talking, but are we listening? Can our spiritual ears hear what the Spirit of God is telling us individually and corporately? In this message we discover that the hearing heart is the heart that:
    • Hear and understand the Word - Revelation. Matt 13:23
    • Hear and accept the Word - Accept (paradechomai) to receive and make it your own. Mark 4: 20
    • Hear & keep the Word - Keep (Katecho) hold it fast, possess it, protect it, tend to it. Luke 8: 15
God wants to enlarge our heart and our capacity to receive revelations
1 King 4:29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore.
How do you enlarge your heart?
    Honor
Luke 8:16-18 No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light. For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him."
HAS = Echo Grk - to regard & honor, to cling to, to be closely joined to, to hold firm. You will ATTRACT and increase what you HONOR
IN CONTRAST - Honor the Word ≠ Trample the Word
Luke 8:5 "A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it.
    It is a gradual process 30, 60, 100
Mark 4:26-28 The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head.
    Do not despise small revelation
Mark 4:31-32 It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade."
    Be Patient
Luke 8: 15 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience (endurance).
