I'm confused why they turned it into a slider instead of being max FOV for everyone. I imagine the only people not having it on max will be players unaware that it exists and missing out.

1.Wider fov can increase the chanceof motion sickness
2. Ur aim will feel wobbly and innacurate the first you changed the fov and you got to adept once again and it's not only in dbd but more fps, battle royale game (huntress, trickster, gunslinger maybe a bit not since he got an iron sight)
3. Some people got myopic thus don't want to get too close to the monitor further worsening your eye. Lower fov range are a must
4. Survivor is easier to be detected as there are less obstacle in your fov thus clouding your mind and put restrain your brain on working on one spot
5. Most killer player also comfortable with small fov as we already got a high turning rate while playing and scanning every nook and cranny while playing and doing literally everything like scanning while blinking as nurse and etc

There are many acronyms that are or can be pronounced as one word (e.g. AIDS, PIN, SIM, FAMAS). Just felt like FOV is easier to say as EF OH WEE
