I think the Twin is so convincing because he takes on the thoughts and aspects of whoever he mimics. It shows in every scene he is in. In the case of this song the Twin is masquerading as the greedy woman to sneak into Heaven, discovers an emerald and becomes so much livelier because he/she actually covets the gem, then works harder to inspire the rest of the damned to work harder to get the train to The Gates.
if lik to imagine that is him also getting super excited to have it again, cause if you remember, in the story, he take it from Doll. This scene shows that he at sme point lost it whether by God's work or someone tricked it off him. Who knows- it's just a super interesting 🥲❤️🩹❤️🩹

But, they discovered it activating the closer the train gets to Up Above (had to censor to post) and by speaking "the magic words." Well, at first, the words were sung mockingly, but when the pendant reacts, Twin is in awe and starts singing with fervor, perhaps he did not know why it shone, just something happened and he wanted to do anything but more shoveling. I suspect that afterward Twin was teleported (like a recall stone in video games) ahead of the train (not planned) and was detected and detained fast, hence the cell scenes. The reason he was shape shifted already could be 2 fold, either punishment (Scorpion was punished in the first film as well) so he could not be his natural self or it was always part of the plan to have a "lost soul" wandering up above to allow the rest of the bunch access. Then again, this is all probably a plot hole that we are left to fill for ourselves.
I think the whip scars on Merrywood's back opened up again after the Devil got close to her, right before/as she fell back into old habits. I see you, Symbolism!
Plausible but merrywood isnt merrywood here, Its the twin(smoke guy) the jewelry he/she steals is broken doll (june) brooch she got from her bf up in heaven... took me 3 watches to realise. But yeah its Plausible that the scars re opening is that merrywood fell back into her habit, then again she has to bare with those scars all through her hell as thats where she was left in first film

@@remnants9974 i think i managed to follow and understand Lucifer's plan: so lucifer was trying to think of a plan to take down heaven, while he did that he sent back to heaven trains full of condemned souls in hopes that heaven would restore them (like how john was redeemed in the end of the first movie) that probably sparked an idea in Lucifer's mind, they have a top performer at the carnival who dated the agent who is probably the highest ranked heaven employee after god. And he remembered that on her first day in the carnival the twin stole the brooch that the agent gave her, and they had a sinner who went to hell for stealing jewelry so a plan has taken shape. Now the first step of the plan isn't very clear so there are two options for how this happened, one: the twin, Lucifer and ms merrywood all got on a train full of condemned souls with the twin disguised as one of the sinners and Lucifer dropped painted doll/june's brooch next to her hoping she'll steal it and then switched between her and the twin when they got to heaven. OR option two: the twin was disguised as ms merrywood during the whole train ride and lucifer was actually grinding on him. The next step is Lucifer invites painted doll to his chamber and reads her the fable "the ass and the lapdog" which in the movie was renamed "the filly and the lapdog", my theory is that he reads her the fable for half the movie to remind of her origin and of what heaven (and especially the agent) did to her. Now Lucifer, knowing that for a diplomatic mission god would send in the agent tells painted doll to dress up in the same dress that she wore on her date with the agent so that he would recognise her. He comes to the bar and painted doll poisons him with beer with poison in it (you can see the agent is dead on the ground at the end of the hoof and lap scene). Then the twin (who sneaked in or stole a lock pick) breaks out of the interrogation room and pretends to be the agent

Saw it on the tour... Terrance is the nicest guy! He taught us a dance (The Ark) and gave me a hug. Also, movie is as good as Repo, surpassed my expectations.
There's just a few major issues. The first big one is that Paul Sorvino died almost a year ago now. The second one being the huge issues with Emilie Autumn.

I still love her music and I respect her as a person, but I can also understand how so many others are upset with her. Although, I think overly sensitive people pushed things out of proportion as well and love flipped to hate fast. But, if you do look further into everything, be warned, it is a rabbit hole.

Seeing this after a two year stretch didn't change the fact that this is just as powerful as it was the first time I hit that play button. I still get massive chills when Briana goes into her 'Alleluia' section. I am definitely buying this for myself for my birthday next month: the wait will have been worth it!

HEY! THis movie is absolutely amazing. Great soundtrack, great cast. The Hasselhoff makes an appearance and I was not disappointed. Lots of information in the movie this time about the previous characters. See it on tour now or wait to buy the dvd. The only downside to the film was that some of the words were lost to the sound effects, need a bit more editing but the music is clear and grand in the album. Also, at the tour, one of the things you can buy is the actual record from episode 1. And.. a teaser to see what they're up to next. Go see this movie on tour, even sinners can enjoy it!
Just saw the movie last night. Wow! I mean wow! Talk about a sequel that improves EVERYTHING about the original. Seriously, I loved it that much and can't wait for when you guys make a third one of these.
Wait, was the Twin pretending to be Merryweather at this time in the movie? ......Did Satan even know this was happening? He Did get pretty darn close and personal with Merryweather during the song.

The song she starts to sing, "Alleluia", is a prayer that all denizens of Heaven know. It even pops up in bits and pieces in other Heaven related songs, like The Bells of Black Sunday. Listen carefully enough and you'll hear it throughout the movie. "All children of Heaven sing, Alleluia! Born of blood and cast of wing, Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Always Alleluia! Two things that confuse me about that movie.....greed girl at the end ended up being the twin.....was he doing labor on that train? And painted doll was in the first movie and the second one 'allelujah' it's her back story was there a time skip I missed?
It's still the real Merrywood (greed girl) on the train, since she visibly has the welts from the short film on her back, Alleluia was mostly painted dolls backstory,but with short moments of the present in-between, mostly of hell preparing for war, and Lucifer telling the backstory
This is from a movie called "alleluia the devil's carnival" which in itself is a sequel to the cult movie the devil's carnival (i really recommend watching both movies if you like weird dark musicals, they're both on tubi) the movies were written and co composed by tarrence zdunich (who plays satan/lucifer in this scene, the other co composer is saar hendlmen) and directed by Darren Lynn bousman, if those names ring a bell well it's probably because they both worked on the cult rock opera film repo! the genetic opera which i also recommend if you like dark cult musicals, brutal violence metal music and opera. As for the song i strongly urge you to check out the rest of the soundtrack if you haven't, it has plenty of great songs, my personal recommendation is down at the midnight rectory
For my favorite song from the movie, the camera angles are pretty rough in this scene. So hard to parse what exactly they're doing, even if you can fill in the blanks. Maybe it saved money to show less train, i dunno
+Thrandrall You do know that it is with our support (merch, road tour tickets, ect.) that they are able to create these amazing experiences, right? These films are 100% funded by the creators, the only reason Alleluia was able to become a reality was the fact that us fans showed our love and support by going to the road tours and buying merch. This is the definition of independent film making, with no major film company backing so they can make the vision they have with no 3rd party input and thr rights are theirs (unlike Repo!, which is why we will most likely never get a sequel because of Lionsgate). Show some love and buy the soundtrack or a shirt. That's how this carnival grows my son, that's how a carnival GROWS!

princesssookeh I've got the soundtrack, and I feel Merrywood sings a little louder in this scene then in the soundtrack. If you have a Facebook, The Devil's Carnival group, the lovely sinners/saints have listened to the songs many of times to figure out the lyrics. They've got all the songs except for some parts of "Hoof and Lap" and "All Aboard (Everybody's Doing The Ark)".
I always liked how he says "Again!", implying that he's been making every train full sing this song all the way up there...

HEY! THis movie is absolutely amazing. Great soundtrack, great cast. The Hasselhoff makes an appearance and I was not disappointed. Lots of information in the movie this time about the previous characters. See it on tour now or wait to buy the dvd.
The only downside to the film was that some of the words were lost to the sound effects, need a bit more editing but the music is clear and grand in the album. Also, at the tour, one of the things you can buy is the actual record from episode 1. And.. a teaser to see what they're up to next.
Go see this movie on tour, even sinners can enjoy it!
Just saw the movie last night. Wow! I mean wow! Talk about a sequel that improves EVERYTHING about the original. Seriously, I loved it that much and can't wait for when you guys make a third one of these.

Since this is the very beginning of the movie, the only thing that gives away the fact that it's not Merryweather is a bit of foreshadowing. The song she starts to sing, "Alleluia", is a prayer that all denizens of Heaven know. It even pops up in bits and pieces in other Heaven related songs, like The Bells of Black Sunday. Listen carefully enough and you'll hear it throughout the movie.

Two things that confuse me about that movie.....greed girl at the end ended up being the twin.....was he doing labor on that train? And painted doll was in the first movie and the second one 'allelujah' it's her back story was there a time skip I missed?
It's still the real Merrywood (greed girl) on the train, since she visibly has the welts from the short film on her back, Alleluia was mostly painted dolls backstory,but with short moments of the present in-between, mostly of hell preparing for war, and Lucifer telling the backstory

This is from a movie called "alleluia the devil's carnival" which in itself is a sequel to the cult movie the devil's carnival (i really recommend watching both movies if you like weird dark musicals, they're both on tubi) the movies were written and co composed by tarrence zdunich (who plays satan/lucifer in this scene, the other co composer is saar hendlmen) and directed by Darren Lynn bousman, if those names ring a bell well it's probably because they both worked on the cult rock opera film repo! the genetic opera which i also recommend if you like dark cult musicals, brutal violence metal music and opera.
As for the song i strongly urge you to check out the rest of the soundtrack if you haven't, it has plenty of great songs, my personal recommendation is down at the midnight rectory

For my favorite song from the movie, the camera angles are pretty rough in this scene. So hard to parse what exactly they're doing, even if you can fill in the blanks. Maybe it saved money to show less train, i dunno

+Thrandrall You do know that it is with our support (merch, road tour tickets, ect.) that they are able to create these amazing experiences, right? These films are 100% funded by the creators, the only reason Alleluia was able to become a reality was the fact that us fans showed our love and support by going to the road tours and buying merch. This is the definition of independent film making, with no major film company backing so they can make the vision they have with no 3rd party input and thr rights are theirs (unlike Repo!, which is why we will most likely never get a sequel because of Lionsgate). Show some love and buy the soundtrack or a shirt. That's how this carnival grows my son, that's how a carnival GROWS!

I will be buying the soundtrack, video, and more than likely other items though, for sure. I like funding films like these: original, intriguing, non-regurgitation. I LOVE IT! princesssookeh I've got the soundtrack, and I feel Merrywood sings a little louder in this scene then in the soundtrack. If you have a Facebook, The Devil's Carnival group, the lovely sinners/saints have listened to the songs many of times to figure out the lyrics. They've got all the songs except for some parts of "Hoof and Lap" and "All Aboard (Everybody's Doing The Ark)".
....and they didn't think to fix that???
