Thinking of John Cleese dying reminded me of Spike Mulligan, the main guy behind the Goon Show, a British radio comedy show which Cleese and the other Pythons loved when they were young, and which heavily influenced Monty Python's style of humor. Anyway, Mulligan's gravestone says, at his request, "I told you I was ill." (It says it in Gaelic, as they could not convince the cemetery to allow it in English, but it still says it.) I could imagine Cleese using a joke on his tombstone, too.
