In my opinion 1.- The New 2.- The Specialist 3.- Public Pervert 4.- Lenght Of Love 5.- Not Even Jail 6.- Say Hello To The Angels 7.- Narc 8.- Slow Hands 9.- Obstacle 1 10.- Roland
Im very new to interpol. I love all the songs I've heard. BUT this fucking song, wow. One of the very few songs in my life I instantaneously fell in love with. Shit
interpol is one of the most magneficent bands whose roots are in the 90'... god, they're just magical. some lines like "i know what my heart is for" are so inncent and then "i dont like my clothes anymore" are rough, sometimes even rude
Such awesomeness in one song. How they wrench so much emotion from such a few notes is astonishing but that's why we love them. Best bass player.....ever?
the entire album is beautiful, complete with curves of sensual and depressed. eg "leif erikson" is passionate about narrating the first time teenager is as frustrating as the first time using drugs. I love every part of Specialist, it's watching an interview of a case that lasted a night of love. Well, you can understand that. Ps: Paul banks can't even imagine how beautiful it is, it's sad.
Love, trust and time will get you down. The classic lineup in this one. "Specialist" is one of my favorite songs by Interpol. It sounds amazing here. P.S. Sam Fogarino is an amazing, and very underrated drummer. He's definitely one of my favorites. Thanks for posting this.
Again, it is simple, no one is saying otherwise, but to know that it is right for a song and to get it to fit, then have it become a characteristic part of the song, that is the difficult part and that is what makes this an amazing bassline. Just "listen" to the silences, the whole rhythmic style and the dynamics. In my opinion not everyone can create things like this.
This video stops too abruptly. Of this same song, performed in Koln 2003, there is a better and more complete version of this video, which you can find by clicking "Interpol koln cirilorivera". In the search, it is the first one that appears.
im going through a really bad break up right now and it's taking its tole on me, but this FUCKING SONG knows exactly what im feeling . fuck man. #paul banks kowns how i feel
Interpol is referenced in the recent book "Meet me in the Bathroom" - an immersive journey through the New York City music scene of the early 2000s. A new generation kick-started a musical rebirth for New York that reverberated all the way around the world.
Mi canción favorita y en su gira de aniversario de los discos la están tocando! La escuche en vivo fui feliz... Y cheee esta presentación grita sexo! Por todos lados pauuul para un poco
Hello xkrunt, I think that if they had not given all of themselves in those moments, we and the posterity would never enjoy these extraordinary outcomes. I am sure that critics will never admit the error of assessment they have severely committed on them, but we know anyway the truth!
Is it me or anyone else noticed it? Maybe bc I play in a band but, Carlos bass volume was lowed as soon he stroke the first note, kind of out of frame of the song In a record studio bass' everything in the song, I wouldn't blame the sound, it is just the beginning of the end of Carlos in Interpol At 5:46 Carlos recovered the volume, weeeeird
I love how they say how it is and not how people imagine it all to be like those shitty eighties love hard rock ballads treating women like they're some unknown angelic deity that was never what they expirienced it to be like
"Hi, I'm the air condition repairman, am I late???"
+ShaneKarma376 Have I missed something?
think that's in reference to paul banks being drenched in sweat

I love the bass part at 5:50 when he jumps back in ❤😊
Such awesomeness in one song. How they wrench so much emotion from such a few notes is astonishing but that's why we love them. Best bass player.....ever?
Hooke es el mejor bajista.
1:50 That loook!!!! That voice!!!
My favorite Carlos D song. He hit it not for note in this performance amazing. Miss him terribly.
The more sweat they're covered in, the better the performance.
The wetter the sexier. My thoughts exactly!
the entire album is beautiful, complete with curves of sensual and depressed. eg "leif erikson" is passionate about narrating the first time teenager is as frustrating as the first time using drugs. I think the keyboardist really helps add an extra layer to this song with the background vocals. Also love that bassline ❤️
I'm swooning over Paul here
This song is a masterpiece. The layers, passion, build up, haunting riffs, storytelling, emotion. Beautifully eerie song.
Esto es demasiado perfecto. Que fortuna debió ser presenciarlo en vivo.
you reach out for a TOWEL, I love how you wear it~
Love, trust and time will get you down. The classic lineup in this one. "Specialist" is one of my favorite songs by Interpol. It sounds amazing here.

That moment when playing a song live is difficult and... in the end.... everything works out. Amazing
This has to be the best version of the song live on youtube. Best, it is 2003, at the height of their powers.
2003?
5:48 oh yeah
Miguel Nochebuena i came for that part, really
Yeah, me too.
X2
best bass moment in musical history since the beginning of times

Yes
Interpol is referenced in the recent book "Meet me in the Bathroom" - an immersive journey through the New York City music scene of the early 2000s. A new generation kick-started a musical rebirth for New York that reverberated all the way around the world.

Banks has appendages in his music graced with old Victorian sounds and weakness fighting fake strength
I love how they say how it is and not how people imagine it all to be
like those shitty eighties love hard rock ballads treating women like they're some unknown angelic deity that was never what they expirienced it to be like
They earned that sweat.
I fuckin' love this song!
