Interesting rendition of "Summertime" by George Gershwin from the musical / opera "Porgy & Bess". I'm not sure if the lady in the 1959 movie could have kept up with it though, especially since it was sung as a lullaby, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Some may say it is almost sacrilege, even I was taken aback at first, "he's ruining it" I thought, but then I think of Gene Harris' rendition of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" on his "Live, from Otter Crest" album. Some would say it was sacrilege, that he was destroying it. Not me. He played it traditionally at first, and then put his spin on it, then really rocked it for another 8 minutes. So your rendition of "Summertime" grew on me. Keep it up. Greetings from the Southland of the USA, where we actually do grow the cotton described in the song. It's being planted right now just 20 miles (30km) to the east and to the south of me in Northern Louisiana, near the Arkansas and Mississippi borders.
