The turbo inlet and turbo muffler delete are basically the same annoyance level and very easy to do. Great places to start if you're not a gearhead
I just did an air intake install and the part for the intake to turbo was such a pain. It took me 40 minutes! Mk8 driver here
Hate your clutch started slipping. I was in 034 low tq, then went stage 2 high tq. Just replaced the clutch and flywheel about 800miles ago.
It will be a blessing long term. Went ECS stage 3 with single mass and bleeder/delay delete. Little noisey at idle but drives like a race car now after a careful break in 👌
Can you send me the link to the clutch that you got ? And I hate it too I knew it was a matter of time I just wanted to see how long I could get away with it haha!
Southbend, yeah I want a clutch upgrade but damn it's expensive
I know it’s ridiculous I’m used to Japanese shit box clutch prices 😂
You have a intercooler with your stage 1 tune ? - happy holidays to you and the fam 🎉
Happy holidays to you as well! And I don’t currently have an upgraded intercooler but I am looking to do so here soon !
The BMP Tuning Decal ;)
How are you digging the Turbo Muffler Delete? I'm running the Racingline full intake up to the turbo inlet, but noticed they don't produce a turbo muffler delete. I may have to hit up our friends at IE for it. I've been running their Stage 1 Low Torque tune for a few months now and I'm freaking loving it.
I like it I haven’t noticed really a whole lot of difference if I’m honest . In colder weather the muffler delete definitely produces a bit more sound but I think over all for myself I just love the nice black aluminum piece knowing it’s in my engine bay 😂 iE definitely makes really good quality products if you’re thinking about it I would say pull the trigger !
Is there a catch can for the mk8 now?
This is actually something I’m heavily interested in I’ve been reaching out to manufacturers about them I’ll let you know if I hear anything the only one I’m aware of directly marketed for the MK8 is ECS tunings
I hate it for you dude! I went about 10k on stock clutch after my unitronic stage 1+. Did the soundbend stage 2 daily when I went stage 2 tune. DAP said my stock clutch looked reallly good after they did the swap. Im surprised that yours went so quickly.
Spent about $2700 labor parts for the SB stage 2 daily.
Holy cow dude I think I’ll end up doing it myself that way I can show case it for you guys I’ve only ever done RWD transmission and clutches I’ve dropped one FWD transmission before but that was many moons ago 😂
Hey, do we reuse the large o ring from the stock Turbo muffler?
I did not swap over the o ring to the new unit IE told me to run their unit as is when I had talked to them . So far I have not had any issues with it!
Friend, I want to know if you have installed the sealing ring?Because the oem has
