Its really a perfect storm of a shark who knows a winner when she sees one, has the connections to make it huge and an experienced pitcher with a high margin product he knows in and out. One of the few times the pitcher had to do almost no negotiating and the sharks had to fight among themselves for it.
The others clearly didn’t know the cleaning market. Sponges make bank! So if you’ve got a high quality and affordable sponge it’s a recipe for success.

This wasn't a pitch for a better sponge, it was a pitch for a better marketed sponge. To make it big in the sponge business you either need to undercut everyone else in price and move huge volumes (generic store brands) or become a household name.

I think it’s has to deal with less of whether or not she sees a good company/product but more due to the fact when it comes to products she’s the queen of getting them out there and making people want them. None of these deals would have been as big if anyone else picked them up, Lori knows her shit she knows her target market with QVC and she has a routine that works globally with any product. Some of the products I see on QVC are trash, complete fucking garbage, but it’s marketed to me as something’s that’s cheaper than it should be and “why not, it might come in handy”.

They don't sell them for $7, there's the mark up from them to the warehouse, and a mark up from warehouse to grocery store shelf. But they probably still profit quite a lot

You are all wrong. Lori bought 20% equity of the company at a 1 million dollar valuation. She makes no money off holding this equity. She does not get any percentage of revenue or profit. She will make money in the future by sharing her equity in the company. Her goal is to take the company from a million dollar valuation to something much higher so that the equity that she owns will be worth a lot more than what she paid to get it.

In Denmark, we had a 3.3 million dollar (30 million kroner) deal for 10 percent of the company in our version of Shark tank called "Lion's Den" directly translated.

The Hogwash reminds me of one of the first videos of Charlie (Moistcr1tical) that I’d ever seen. He did voiceovers of Anthony “Sully” Sullivan’s infomercials and the first one I saw was the Hogwash. I still go back and watch that video to this day, it is so funny

I’m not gonna lie I use the scrub daddy and it does pretty much everything. He says it is a good product and that is from personal use. I have nothing bad to say about it. I don’t know all the things behind it but it is like 90% effective, it’s good stuff. I have one on my countertop right now and I have three ready to go. It doesn’t do everything, but it does more than most. This deserves to be where it’s at.
