Who would've thought a prototype racecar sounds so badass with that rumbling thunderous V8. ⚡ With this, Cadillac has become my most favorite among the Hypercar lineup!
I like Acura's high-tech setup and Porsche's clean lines, but the sound and batmobile-esqueness of the Caddy is something that sends shivers down my spine. Gonna be great to see the single car WEC entry later this year!
I was starting to be scared that these legendary race cars with a great sound like the Mazda 787B would belong to the past, but now I believe that a new chapter is being written and these cars will probably be as legendary as the old ones
It sounds like an absolute menace lol it looks so good and has a soundtrack to back it up. Definitely the best lmdh produced with the hypercar rule set.

If I were to pick a car to be the most reliable, it would be this or the Porsche. The Acura is so damn fast, but I think plenty of them will end up behind the wall with mechanical problems.
Sounding like this car uses a micro gas-turbine engine to charge starter and start main engine, or like engine when starting accelerates to extreme RPS points much bigger than 10k.
LMDh in general are about 200lbs heavier but 100hp more powerful - so better power/weight ratio depending on BoP. That being said, Roar qualifying times did not exceed DPi but were very close and none of the teams got a true flying lap in due to a red flag. For right now, looks like LMDh and DPi are on equal ground. But race pace and stint length might exceed that of the V.R-DPi this weekend…

Such a great sound. I'm gonna root for Cadillac this year.
Even as a Kevin Estre fan boy, it will be HARD to not root for Cadillac.

Lol I heard that

Meanwhile the C8 is basically a Ferrari with that flatplane crank lol
0:58 Dude in the background "I think that Cadillac sounds best!"
HECK YEAH!!!
That idle sound is INSANE.
Nascar sounds with the gearbox sounds/ urgency of a modern prototype = perfect
they sound like Nascars on the bank, its like music
“NASCAR stock cars”, is how you properly identify them.
@Brad Bailey No they sound great! They sounded greater in the 2000s though
@Brad Bailey that is exactly how they sounded back in the 2000s
@@MrJohansen It’s pretty much what they sound like now.
What I will say is it sounds similar to the sauber c11 and that's just about my favourite race car ever
Beautiful to see all the different makes joining the hybrid racing league. All the different designs, both outer and engine wise.

Love hearing that Cadillac roar, let’s win that Rolex 24!
legendary Nascar engine sound I love
I love those bass that goes into my ear. I'm gonna root for cadillac because it has the best noise.
As a Subaru dude (understandably loves rumbling sound) I gotta love the sound

This is going to stand out by a mile at Le Mans amongst all the muted flat-plane V8 and V6 turbos. I can't wait to hear it for real!
Excellent audio quality and lovely tracking shots. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Lanky Turtle 🐢
The yellow one is beautiful! Blue one is a close second. That NA v8 hybrid engine sounds absolutely amazing
I would've been excited for Cadillac's return regardless of how it sounded, but this is so far above and beyond what I expected.
GM needs to GIVE THEM MOOOOONEY
Cadillac never left
Love the sound.
Gorgeous inside and out. Go Cadillac!
Qualifying at Daytona wasn't great for these guys. I'm hoping this isn't a sign of things to come for the year, I really want Cadillac to do well.
If I had to pick an engine/chassis combo to be most reliable during the race I’d probably pick caddy
The team that won't go behind the wall due to mechanical issue is the team that takes it this year.
Qualifying really means nothing here.
Way too many variables to base performance from one track...

I love how short the gear ratio is… that thing shifts quick! Sounds awesome!!
The Whelen car looks absolutely incredible this year! Def my favorite. I'm excited for all the GTP cars but I think I'll b pulling for the Cadis!

So stoked about them racing at IMS where I will get an up close look at these monsters of the infield.
Thanks for the upload! Long live cross-plane V8s!
One beautiful race car🤩
I love the sound of those V8s!! Bring em home Cadillac!
Those cars are fast!
That cross plane American V8 sounds glorious.
2:32 this rev reminds me the sound of the yamaha m1 in the motogp, sound familiar.
Very happy to have a car back that sounds like a C7.R
Completely agree with you man... eargasms are back ! Was sad when they quit C7.R, which is a benchmark of all machine sounds for me
Best car
I'm not a yee-haw redneck...but that caddy sounds like America and I love it.

Great, Great sound!! 🤩
Awaken the beast!
That V8 sounds... reminds me of the mighty Sauber Mercedes-Benz C9 & C11 from late 80s - early 90s
The Sauber Mercedes was a great sounding car.
This is what the Corvette C8 racers should sound like
The C8-R still sounds amazing, not to mention their engine is made for the best performance within the regulations.

I was at the roar. Caddy sounds great but slightly quieter this year. Not quite as ear splitting loud.
This is my favorite LMDh race car, right alongside the Lamborghini SC63
Magnificent. 🍷🗿
beautiful sound 👍♥️
Sounds bad ass
I think by now we all want a hybrid car that starts off silently, and while rolling away starts the engine with a thunderous sound.

Bid D LT back with some more action
I swear I could hear someone yell "now that's what I'm talking about". When the engine started.
I want one. It would look fantastic between my Aventador and 720s. Or maybe my F8 Tributo...
Good God that sound! I don't know why they didn't use the C8.R engine, but I'm open-minded.
I know they probably won't do this, but really wish Cadillac would do a livery reminiscent of Briggs Cunningham's Le Monstre for Le Mans this year....

it's a nascar in the form of a bullet
If u take a cup car, make it mid engined, and shrink wrap the body as small as possible.
Awesome
I keep thinking about "Brand New Cadillac" by the Clash. This is a better soundtrack. American V8 power!
I’m surprised they did not use a derivative of the engine in the Z06. Maybe next year.
It might be too much of the regulations or too new and unproven to use it
I think it is. Same displacement. 5.5 liters. DOHC. Almost same rpms, I think the Flate plane has 400 rpms more at redline...
sounds badass, but why would you use a crossplane V8 in Le Mans though ? it's terrible for high-rpm power
Had to make sure I was on TH-cam and not P***Hub. 🥵🤤🥵
If we get Andretti Cadillac in F1 and they make an engine that sounds half as good as this, it’ll be the best F1 car in almost a decade
Well not even slight cuz F1 use V6 this one V8 closest can make is like Indycar
The sound is the reason why I will never ever watch a race of electric cars, neither in TV nor live on track.
Definitely sounds similar to the gen 7 nascar cup car
Cadillac 🥰
